As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads in Washington and across the United States, the members of ATU Local 1765 has been working to deliver critical transit for workers on the frontlines. Yet transit workers are being unnecessarily exposed to coronavirus because transportation authorities are putting money before member safety. Members are coming together to demand that the Grays Harbor Transportation Authority provide the resources, support and safe working conditions we need to keep our members safe. We are coming together as front line transit workers to demand that Grays Harbor Transportation Authority commits to:

1. Increased health and safety measures for transit workers and the riding public, including gloves, N-95 masks, sanitizers, and all PPE needed.
2. Compensating workers classified as essential during a public health crisis with at least 1.5 times their normal wage.
3. Retaining employees and maintaining wages and benefits during service curtailment.
4. Strategic continuation of service to avoid overcrowding.
5. Limiting bus passenger loads to no more than 10 and paratransit to no more than 1.
6. Limiting service access to essential workers and those seeking care.
7. Requiring passengers to wear masks to board a transit vehicle.
8. Fully-paid, on-site testing of transit workers for COVID-19 symptoms.
