We Deserve Respect
UF Health Jacksonville Management
After session after session of contract negotiations, the bargaining committee put forth for ratification a tentative agreement for AFSCME Local 1328 and AFSCME Local 1781 to vote on. The result was almost 87% voting to reject the tentative agreement.
We went back to the table but mangament said they were not sure the path forward because that was the best they could do. We know they can do better! Sign the petition below saying we deserve a fair contract!
When we work under a fair contract we understand it is not perfect but it is one that conveys respect for the work we do. The more people who sign the stronger we look when we deliver this at our next bargaining session!

To Patrick Green and UF Health's Bargaining Team -
A hospital is just a building without the skilled and compassionate workers who provide care, maintain the facilities and deliver for our community. We work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays - because that the job demands and what we signed up for. But we are humans, not just numbers on a spreadsheet, and we deserve a contract that reflects our worth.
A contract is more than just about the pay and benefits. It is about the respect that comes along with knowing you are seen and valued even on days that are so busy that your coworkers can barely catch a breath, let along tell someone great job. And a fair contract helps us keep our veteran coworkers and to attract go workers to address our staffing shortages.
We understand that this is a business - we see that with the new buildings and financial moves that make news across the region. But none of that will be successful without the staff that make it happen every day, even in hostile work environments, even through hurricanes, we never quit. And we deserve the respect of a contract that reflects that.
