The Alliance will not be divided! It’s time for a fair contract!
Kaiser Permanente Leaders
We will not be divided! It’s time for a fair contract!
To Kaiser Permanente Leaders
On December 15, 2025, Kaiser Permanente senior management walked away from National Bargaining and unilaterally “paused” national bargaining and bargaining for select local unions.
As Alliance Union members and Kaiser Permanente employees, we categorically reject Kaiser Permanente’s refusal to bargain in good faith with the Alliance, which undermines trust, violates basic bargaining norms, and threatens labor peace. KP’s unfair labor practices contradict Kaiser Permanente’s stated partnership commitments and undermine their legal duty to bargain.
We call on KP negotiators to stop the delay and return to the table to reach fair agreements on our National Agreement and ALL local contracts. There are many issues that still need to be resolved both at the national and local tables, including:
-Safe staffing and honoring staffing ratios
-A voice for professional care givers in patient care
-Retroactive pay
-A fair Alliance Performance Sharing Program
-Wage Equity in Southern California for our Kern members
-Contract Alignment
-Benefit cuts to recently-organized units
-Across-the-board wage increases that truly reflect our value as employees, the gains delivered through our Labor Management Partnership, and the working conditions and inflation of the past few years.
These remaining issues are fundamental to delivering safe, high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente patients and to retaining the healthcare workers who make Kaiser Permanente successful.
As Alliance union members, we remain committed to our Kaiser Permanente patients and members. We are also committed to a fair national agreement and local agreements for ALL 62,000 Alliance members.
It is time to stop the delays and reach agreement on fair contracts. We are the Alliance and we are ready to settle a great contract that benefits workers and patients.
Sincerely,
To:
