Put Workers First in any Airline & Airport Bailout

Congress

The airlines are seeking $50 billion bailout from Congress, plus additional tax relief through the end of 2021.

The airlines say they could “run out of money” between June 30 and the end of the year. Many airport and airline workers will run out of money even sooner!

With more and more workers in the airport, airline and subcontracted airline industry laid off each day, Congress must put workers first in any airline and airport bailout.

The airlines say they could “run out of money” between June 30 and the end of the year. Many airport and airline workers will run out of money even sooner!

Thousands of workers who already live paycheck-to-paycheck face tremendous hardship and uncertainty for as long as demand for travel is down.

Congress must ensure direct income replacement, ongoing healthcare coverage and other forms support for airport and airline workers in any bailout for airlines and airports.

Sincerely,
