Dear USS Frank E Evans Association Members and Supporters –

We are reaching out for your support in remembering the USS Frank E. Evans Lost 74 heroes who are not on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. In Congress, bipartisan legislation has been introduced that would add the Lost 74 to the Wall: SB3131 USS Frank E. Evans Act (introduced in the Senate by Senators Cramer, Schiff, Schumer) and HR5945 (introduced in the House by Congressmembers Chu and Flood). The key to success to these bills is for you to reach out to your Congressmember and Senators to express support – they listen to their constituents.

Please do the following (between January 6 and January 20):

1) Call your Congressional Office and the Office of your two US Senators in Washington, DC. Look up your US Senators & Congressperson by zip code

2) Tell them you are a constituent, and ask for the Veterans lead.

3) If the Veterans lead is available, for US Senators, let them know you are calling in support of SB3131 USS Frank E. Evans Act (introduced in the Senate by Senators Cramer, Schiff, Schumer) and want them to co-sponsor. Share your story – why it is important to you. To coordinate with the sponsors, if they are a Democrat, refer them to David Grannis (Senator Schiff lead) David_Grannis@schiff.senate.gov. If they are a Republican, refer them to Randy Richards (Senator Cramer lead) Randy_Richards@cramer.senate.gov

4) For House members, let them know you are calling in support of HR5945 USS Frank E. Evans Act (introduced in the House by Congressmembers Chu and Flood) and want them to co-sponsor. Share your story – why it is important to you. To coordinate with the sponsors, if they are a Democrat, refer them to Amanda Yuen (Congressmember Chu lead), Amanda.Yuen@mail.house.gov, and if they are a Republican, refer them to Joshua McGuire (Congressmember Flood lead) Joshua.McGuire@mail.house.gov

5) If the Veterans lead is not available, ask them for their email, send them this information via email, and ask for a meeting by phone.

6) In addition, use this link to generate an email to your Congressional and Senate offices
