Massachusetts Drivers First!
Drivers in Massachusetts have been organizing for many years to win our union. We won our union rights at the ballot in 2024. Then tens of thousands of drivers signed cards to join the union. On May 22, the App Drivers Union was officially certified as the first-ever rideshare drivers' union in the United States! Now, the companies will have to sit down with us and negotiate a contract.

Our union contract is how we win more money, protection from deactivation, and better working conditions. Our bargaining committee, made up of drivers, union officers, and lawyers, will negotiate an agreement with the companies.

If an agreement is reached at the table, a majority of drivers must vote to accept. If we can’t agree to a contract within 180 days, drivers can vote to send it to a panel of three arbitrators who would review and issue a binding decision, with one neutral arbitrator casting the deciding vote.

The App Drivers Union is a union for drivers, by drivers. Fill out the survey to make your voice heard. The bargaining committee will present our proposals on pay and other key issues at the bargaining table, but we need your input first. It is important that you fill out the survey and share it with other drivers. Your voice matters and will directly shape our proposals.
