Everyone should have the right to take time off from work when sick. Yet millions of people in the UK simply cannot afford to do so.

We have an urgent opportunity to change this.

One in four workers up and down the country are left ill or injured on just £3 an hour - the legal minimum. Many are forced to keep working, delaying their recovery and passing on illness to others. Others suffer from stress and anxiety, wondering how they will pay the bills on such low rates of sick pay.

We are asking the UK Government to raise the rate of sick pay so no one is forced to keep working whilst sick.

We must campaign for higher sick pay whilst the Employment Rights Bill makes its way through Parliament.
