May 1st is a historic day of solidarity, dignity, and the fight for the rights of workers and immigrant communities. Those directly affected not only have a voice—they also have power. Immigrant and working-class communities sustain entire sectors of the economy. We have economic power, community power, and collective power. May Day is an opportunity to demonstrate that power.
