SHUT IT DOWN: Close This Dog Slaughterhouse Now!
Dogs are being slaughtered for meat in the Philippines.
Inside these facilities, terrified animals are dragged from cages, beaten, hanged, stabbed and burned.
Many of the dogs killed in the dog meat trade are stolen pets. Investigators have repeatedly found dogs still wearing collars when they arrive at slaughterhouses, clear evidence they were taken from homes and families.
Once captured, dogs are packed into cages or sacks so tightly they cannot move. They are transported for days without food or water. Many die before they even reach the slaughterhouse.
Those that survive the journey face a brutal end.
Dogs are bludgeoned with metal bars.
Their throats are cut while they struggle.
Some are drowned or strangled.
Others are burned with blowtorches or plunged into boiling water while they are still conscious.
Investigators have now identified a new dog meat slaughterhouse operating in the Philippines.
Dogs may still be trapped inside.
Right now, our investigators are preparing to move in on another slaughterhouse as part of our ongoing work to dismantle this brutal trade and rescue animals before they are killed.
Every signature increases pressure on authorities to shut these operations down and stop the killing.
