On Sunday, September 28, 2025, CUFA will celebrate our 45th Anniversary with a gala held at the Willow Event Center from 4-8PM. We hope you can join us at the celebration where we will recognize CUFA’s Community Service honorees Josh Spring, Samantha Searls, and Pastor Sil Watkins. Marilyn Evans Leadership Development Awardees are CUFA members Mary Partee and Lenore Newland. We will have a dinner, a silent auction, and a video booth to share your favorite CUFA stories! Our Keynote Speaker is Robin Wright-Pierce, an award-winning facilitator, community organizer, and founder of Transforming Change.

For 45 years, Communities United for Action (CUFA) has united diverse, grassroots people to create thriving, sustainable communities in Hamilton County. We invest in our membership, developing leaders who run their own campaigns to win on the issues that matter most to them. By building leadership in Hamilton County’s low and moderate-income communities, CUFA has won:

  • The nation’s first municipal Environmental Justice Ordinance,
  • Over $800 million in Community Reinvestment Agreements with major banks to invest in low- and moderate-income communities,
  • A Vacant Foreclosed Building Ordinance, and
  • A freeze on sewer rates for 7 years, and improvements to the Sewer Backup Response program for victims of backups.

CUFA continues to develop grassroots leaders to work on issues that impact their lives including affordable housing and utilities, and improvements to our sewer infrastructure.

This event is no longer selling advance tickets. We will have tickets available at the door.
