The Sixth Annual San Diego Environmental Leadership Summit is shaping up to be one of our best. It will be an all-day conference for 125 leaders of environmental organizations in the San Diego Region on Saturday, September 17, 2022. We have a great lineup of speakers, and after two years of virtual events, we are going live in 2022!

The theme of the 2022 Summit is The Future of Conservation. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jennifer Norris, Deputy Secretary for Biodiversity and Habitat at the California Natural Resources Agency. Panel discussions will focus on the 30x30 Campaign and on engaging more young people in conservation action.

Session 1: The Pathway to 30 x 30 in the San Diego Region will include panelists from the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, The Nature Collective, and San Diego Canyonlands.

Session 2: The Roadmap to 30 x 30 will include panelists from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Wildlife Conservation Board, the Coastal Conservancy, and San Diego County Parks.

Session 3: Engaging Young People will include young environmental activists from the Hispanic Access Foundation, CoastKeeper, Audubon, Escondido Creek Conservancy, and 350.org.

The fee is an incredibly low $35.00 per person and includes lunch. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available.

The Summit will be held in the Fowler Ballroom in the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center at San Diego State University. A $6.00 parking pass is required to park on-site. We recommend carpooling or taking the Green Line trolley to SDSU. If you must park, select the "Driver" ticket type to get a parking pass for the event. Parking instructions will be sent out ahead of the Summit date.
