Location: Manchester Friends' Meeting House•6 Mount Street , Manchester, M2 5NS GB
This event is accessible

Join us in the Main Hall at the Manchester Friends' Meeting House to watch and discuss a series of short films made by and with student-activists from the Gaza encampments in the UK.
Developed as part of the Cinema and Solidarity research project, funded by the University of Warwick, these films explore acts of co-resistance, particularly among students of Palestinian or Jewish heritage.
Diverse and courageous, the works offer a rare and personal window into activism and cross-cultural solidarity, reflecting the students’ rich experiences and the motivations that drew them to the political movement opposing the genocide in Gaza.
Attendees are invited to join us for a pre-screening reception at 5.45pm.
The screening (72mins) will start at 6.30pm and will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
Our panelists will be: Ehab Omar, Co-Founder of British Palestinian Families and Advocacy and Campaigns Manager for Children Not Numbers, Anandi Ramamurphy, Emeritus Professor of Media and Culture and co-author of 'Struggling to be Seen: The Travails of Palestinian Cinema,' Michele Aaron, Professor of Film and Television Studies and initiator of the Cinema and Solidarity research project, and Maisy, a student and activist at The University of Manchester.
The screening is presented in collaboration with the University of Warwick and Na'amod.
All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Rivers of Mercy - (n.b. not Warwick University, as this event page template suggests!).
Rivers of Mercy is an organisation that provides life-saving healthcare to Palestinian communities.
