Explore Pevensey’s past on a guided walk through the castle grounds and marshes, returning riverside to this former 'limb' of the Cinque Ports, with local expert Dr Geoffrey Mead.
Walk details: From the Castle gate, we'll cross the centre of the Romano-British fort and walk through Castle Farm, before dropping to the busy A27. Crossing that, we are out on the Levels, an area of much historical and nature interest. Winding across the windswept levels to Chilley, we cross the Pevensey Haven stream at Rickney, and head back along the waterside to the Castle.
