Join us for the Great Trading Path Journey on Saturday January 17th, 2026
**1/12 UPDATE** Out of an abundance of caution and respect for horse health, we have decided to postpone the horse component of the event due to the confirmed EHV-1 case in the region.
Instead, we will host a car caravan-style journey along portions of the Great Trading Path in Hillsborough & Mebane, including ceremony, storytelling and cultural teach-ins at historic and sacred sites.
Lunch will be provided!
*Locations and schedule of events shared upon registration
This day-long community event honors one of North Carolina's oldest Indigenous trade routes, the historic Occaneechi Path, designated as a World Monument last year.
Together we will honor the Great Trading Path Trail, and celebrate Indigenous resilience, community healing, and cultural preservation efforts in North Carolina.
