Planning and carrying out effective nonviolent direct actions requires thoughtful planning and preparation. To support people considering such actions, the CNY Solidarity Coalition is offering training for nonviolent direct action led by two young adult trainers with significant training and action experience in the United States and internationally.
The training will include exercises, roleplays and information sharing to help prepare people to participate in nonviolent direct action and civil disobedience. Participants are asked to commit to the full six hours of the training, which will include lunch. The space will be open starting at 9 am for warm ups, meditation, movement and singing. The training will start promptly at 10 am. Please plan to participate for the full six hour training.
$20 registration fee covers lunch (fee reductions/waivers are available upon request)
Childcare will be available onsite (there is an additional small cost per child from those utilizing this service)
Registration will close on May 10.
This training is part of a series of programs offered by CNY Solidarity to educate the community and encourage increased and more diverse forms of nonviolent action to protect our community and democracy.
