The Young Democrats of America and Nebraska Young Democrats invite you to the 2025 Winter Meeting, where we gather in The Blue Dot of our state, Omaha.

The Blue Dot is Omaha’s symbol of Democratic visibility and resilience in a landscape often painted red. This is more than a local movement; Omaha’s blue dot carries national weight, often tipping the scales in presidential and congressional races. The uniquely split electoral votes in Nebraska mean the tide of leadership can hinge on the grassroots organizing power of young democrats and the solidarity behind that blue circle on our map.

Our meeting in Omaha is both a celebration and a catalyst. It is a call to create blue dots everywhere, transforming local organizing into a national wave of change. The city’s recent Democratic victories and the growing momentum behind this symbol reflect a vital truth: when young Democrats organize strategically, they don’t just turn out votes, they redraw the map.

We want to center youth activists and local chapters as engines for progress from the block captain to the ballot box. Our theme, The Blue Dot: Organize Everywhere, Win Anywhere, captures what is possible when we step up, connect across states, and build infrastructure in regions too often overlooked.

The weekend will be filled with campaign strategy sessions, organizing workshops with unions, leadership panels, and opportunities to forge networks across the country. Whether recruiting volunteers in deep-red districts, mobilizing for voting rights and reproductive freedom, or building lasting civic engagement, we’ll showcase Omaha’s lessons for turning one blue dot into a field of blue. Providing proof that youth organizing can transform our country’s future.
