Call Congress: Reject the Deadly U.S.-Israel Military Merger
7/23/2026 Update: The House narrowly passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on July 22, advancing the bill to the next phase of the legislative process. More than 200 House Democrats voted AGAINST the bill––a stunning rebuke of Trump's Iran war and the deepening of the U.S.-Israel military alliance. Only 6 Democrats voted in favor. A floor vote for the Senate version of the NDAA is expected within weeks, and then additional rounds of negotiations over the bill text and voting will follow. This is a long-haul fight, and we can't let up the pressure. Call your lawmakers in the Senate right now and demand they vote NO on the NDAA, and speak out against the U.S.-Israel military merger.
Now that most Americans oppose arming Israel and we’re finally gaining momentum to end U.S. complicity in Israel’s crimes, the Israeli state and its allies are attempting to further entrench the U.S.-Israel alliance through a dangerous new framework.
Buried within the annual U.S. military spending bill is a disastrous AIPAC-backed proposal, dubbed "the Deadly Merger,” that would integrate the U.S. and Israeli militaries (Section 219 in the House and Section 1217 in the Senate.)
In total, the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would:
• Increase military spending to a whopping budget of $1.15 trillion.
• Integrate U.S. and Israeli military technology, intelligence systems, and research through "data fusion" and weapons coproduction.
• Rob voters of the transparency and accountability they are owed by shielding the deadly U.S.-Israel military merger from congressional oversight.
On July 9, six top Senate Democrats released a letter urging fellow Democrats to prevent the NDAA from proceeding to the floor unless the proposal to merge the U,S. and Israeli militaries is removed.
We have a critical window of opportunity right now to pressure lawmakers to block the bill and the Deadly Merger provision, and it’s more important than ever that they hear from their constituents.
