After years of campaigning and negotiation, Mayor Lightfoot has finally brought forward a proposed franchise agreement with ComEd. The proposed agreement includes no decarbonization goals, does nothing to hold ComEd to account for its corruption, and actively makes municipalization more difficult. It goes against almost everything we have stood for, and have fought for, as a campaign. We intend to secure a franchise agreement that builds a path to municipalization while advancing Chicago's climate goals, and we need your help to do it!
