This training session will prepare you to support immigrant communities as a Verifier through the Bham Migra Watch's rapid response program.
We will go over how to best interact with law enforcement, document/verify, and deescalate a situation. We will also cover building connections and informing the community of developments and how to stay safe, whether at work, at home, or getting pulled over. Finally, we will discuss the impact of and answer any questions relating to SB53.
Please attend to help protect your comrades and neighbors and to stay informed on the dangers that some now have to face every day. As a community, we must protect each other.
Verifiers do NOT need to be bilingual, though any language skills you're able to bring are very much appreciated! Please RSVP for the location.
