Tierrarte (eARTh) Collective: The Art of Adobe Brick Making

About: Join us as we connect knowledge sharing networks to environmental justice advocacy in South Phoenix. We will use artistic design methods to describe and express environmental (in)justices in these youth-centered workshops.

We aim to cultivate a sense of wonder toward the places we inhabit, an awareness of the cultural and ideological forces that threaten them, and motivation to take action. Our first Tierrarte (eARTh) will focus on heat as we connect the past to current histories. Keep an eye out for our next Tierrarte youth workshop in October!

With limited capacity, you must RSVP to be able to take part in the adobe brick making. First 8 participants to register get a FREE drink at The Oro Bean in The Sagrado Galleria when arriving at the workshop.

There will also be opportunity to give community feedback on AZ(LAND)’s Sombra shade structure design. This aspect of the event does not require RSVP.

Sobre: Únase a nosotros para conectar las redes de intercambio de conocimiento con la defensa de la justicia ambiental en South Phoenix. Utilizaremos métodos de diseño artístico para describir y expresar (in)justicia ambientales en estos talleres centrados en la juventud.

Nuestro objetivo es cultivar un sentido de asombro hacia los lugares que habitamos, una conciencia de las fuerzas culturales e ideológicas que los amenazan, y la motivación para actuar. Nuestro primer Tierrarte (eARTh) se centrará en el calor a medida que conectamos el pasado con las historias actuales. ¡Estad atentos a nuestro próximo taller juvenil de Tierrarte en octubre!

Con capacidad limitada, debes RSVP para poder participar en la creación de ladrillos de adobe. Los primeros 8 participantes que se registren reciben una bebida GRATIS en The Oro Bean en The Sagrado Galleria al llegar al taller.

También habrá la oportunidad de dar retroalimentación a la comunidad sobre el diseño de la estructura de sombra de AZ(LAND). Este aspecto del evento no requiere RSVP.
