The Nebraska Legislature Urban Affairs Committee is having its public hearings for interim studies related to affordable housing in Nebraska on Friday, October 24 @ 10am. Show up to testify in person, submit comments for the public record (comments due by 8am on the same day), or watch and learn what other groups are saying about the state of affordable housing in Nebraska.

Interim studies include:

• LR86--Interim study to identify and examine the state of affordable and accessible housing in Nebraska
• LR146--Interim study to examine the intersection of tax increment financing and affordable housing within the State of Nebraska
• LR163--Interim study to examine the impact of lead and other environmental pollutants on the health and well-being of Nebraska communities
• LR165--Interim study to examine the concentration and impact of nonprofit organizations in historically marginalized communities, specifically North and South Omaha
• LR213--Interim study to examine the connection between neighborhood-level investment and youth outcomes, including, but not limited to, educational attainment, youth violence, and long-term well being
