Omaha DSA Working Group for Legislative Actions in Nebraska. This is ran jointly with the Lincoln DSA Legislative Working Group. If you're looking for Iowa Legislature, engage the other Iowa chapters, because they're in the process of forming an Iowa-specific working group.

We do the following:

• State government monitoring of the Nebraska Legislature, and other state government bodies
• Political education over how the Legislature works in Nebraska
• Mobilizing in the Nebraska State Capitol
• Recommend positions to take on bills introduced in the Nebraska Legislature to Chapter membership
• Develop relations with labor unions over legislative issues, and recommend coalitions to join
• Monitoring of ballot initiatives and state office elections
• Legislative and district research
• Bill drafting

Omaha DSA is the Omaha chapter of DSA, a pro-democracy, pro-labor national political organization, covering portions of both Nebraska and Iowa.

Omaha DSA is a 501(c)4, and is funded internally by dues. We do not accept donations from the rich or from corporations, and we are not funded by grants.
