Bob Bell Hyundai Action

Start: Friday, June 26, 2015 7:30 PM

Auto parts workers are starting to stand up alongside other low-wage workers who are demanding higher pay, better working conditions, and a voice on the job. On Thursday, June 26 young workers will be stepping up to support workers employed by Lear Corporation.

Today, three out of four auto workers are employed by parts manufacturers, not the brand name auto makers, and often make far less. In fact, too often these jobs have more in common with jobs at Walmart than the good jobs that build the American middle class. That’s why it’s so important that companies such as Hyundai support good jobs throughout their supply chain, including at Lear. No matter where you live, it’s easy to get involved. Groups of concerned consumers will be delivering thousands of petition signatures and information about working conditions at Lear to Hyundai dealerships in approximately 20 states.
