National Law Day of Action, Rally to Support the Courts - Carlisle PA!

Please RSVP here for this event!

The people of Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District will gather in solidarity at Veterans
Park next to the Old Cumberland County Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Square, Carlisle, Pa., on
May 1, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

This rally is a show of support for an independent judiciary, with appreciation for judges and
lawyers whose duty it is to interpret the rule of law and remember that their FIRST client is the
Constitution of the United States of America.

We the people of the Pennsylvania 10th Congressional District value and respect the rule of law
and appreciate the courts that uphold it. This is a cause that brings us together, regardless of
political affiliation. We will gather peacefully and respectfully to listen to our local lawyers and
peacekeepers and use our voices to show support.

Speakers, starting at 4:45, will include Sean Shultz, mayor of Carlisle and attorney with Saidis,
Shultz & Fisher, Mechanicsburg; Rachel L. James, Esq., associate at Johnson Duffie of
Lemoyne; Aliza Shatzman, attorney, advocate and activist from Ambler and president of The
Legal Accountability Project; Taylor P. Andrews, Esq., founding partner at Andrews, Johnson
and Braught, Carlisle; Samuel W. Milkes, Esq., executive director emeritus of Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN), Inc.; and Dr. Kimeka Campbell, senior director of campaigns and engagement
at New Pennsylvania Project, Harrisburg.

Come hear why courts matter and what each speaker’s experience and their oath of office
means to them. Gather information on how you can continue this support effort. Feel free to
bring appropriate signs to indicate your support. You can find information about National Law
Day of Action and its core principles at https://lawdayofaction.org/coreprinciples.
