Start: 2025-02-06 09:00:00 UTC Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-05:00)

End: 2025-02-06 17:00:00 UTC Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada) (GMT-05:00)

This is a virtual event

President Trump and his allies in Congress want to eviscerate federal health care programs in order to pay for EVEN MORE HUGE tax cuts for big corporations and the ultra-rich. Fortunately, they can't yet come to agreement about the particulars, so we can still stop them by taking action together.

This coming Thurs. Feb. 6, people who believe in Medicaid all across the US are joining forces to speak up for Medicaid, and it's important that as many New Yorkers as possible are part of the mix!

Everyday people of all stripes will be calling their own members of Congress that day to deliver two simple messages:

  • NO cuts to Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for big corporations and the ultra-rich!
  • People did not vote for health care cuts to pay for tax cuts last November. They voted for economic relief and financial security for their families and communities.

Here is the patch-through phone number (courtesy of SEIU): 866-426-2631

(If you don't know who your member of Congress is, click here and enter your zip code in the small box on the upper right corner of the page to find out.)

…and here is a social media toolkit to use on Thursday.
...and here is a general resource kit with lots of background information.

...and here is a Facebook event that you can use and share with others.

Please use this RSVP form so that we know all the New Yorkers who are participating in this national call-in day, and then keep in touch with you and others about future activities, since this fight to protect federal health care programs is likely to be on-going for a while.

Thank you for join in, and for inviting others to do so too!
