In moments of uncertainty, having a neighbor who knows how to help can make all the difference. NAKASEC (the National Korean American Service & Education Consortium) is offering a thoughtful Immigration Enforcement Bystander Training to help us look out for one another with confidence and care. This session focuses on grounding ourselves in our shared rights and learning to calmly assess situations to ensure everyone stays as safe as possible.
You’ll learn how to identify enforcement activity in our neighborhoods and discover gentle, effective ways to stand in solidarity—whether that’s by documenting a scene or offering emotional support. It’s a chance for us to learn how to be a steady presence for our neighbors, ensuring that in our community, no one has to stand alone.
Please join us for the 2nd Thursday of the month national call to get trained, ask questions, and share experiences on how to stand together.
Following the monthly call, Orientation Part 2 will be provided to new members. Please stay from 9 pm ET to 10 pm ET if you are joining the orientation.
See you on Thursday, February 12, at 5pm PT/8pm ET!
