Start: Tuesday, March 18, 2025•03:30 PM
The Board of Supervisors' public hearing on the redevelopment of the AT&T campus in Oakton is coming up on Tuesday, March 18th at 4PM. Background Information on the AT&T Proposal
The proposed development at 3033 Chain Bridge Road is an exceptional opportunity to turn a large, 33 acre lot of underutilized offices and parking lots into a walkable neighborhood - right in the heart of Oakton. It includes:
- Over 800 new homes: a mix of townhomes, condominiums, and rentals, including affordable and workforce units.
- A mixed use design, including walkable local retail such as a grocery store and coffee shop.
- Pedestrian safety improvements, a 1-mile shared use path, and improved connectivity with existing pedestrian and bike infrastructure.
- 60% open space onsite, including a central plaza, as well as a new 2-acre park and improvements to Borge St. park.
- Preservation of most of the beautiful trees that surround the site, as well as new native plantings.
- Badly needed improvements to stormwater management and stream protections.
The current hearing process is for a "Single Site Plan Amendment," a single-lot reclassification of the land-use guidelines for this former office park in the countywide Comprehensive Plan. If the Board of Supervisors approves the plan amendment then the project will move onto the zoning process, where more exact design details, including traffic and infrastructure improvements for the surrounding area, are set in stone.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you for fighting for housing in our community!
We hope you can join us in raising our voices for abundant housing, vibrant communities, and walkability in our county.
Best,
