Fifteen Powerpoint presentations on how to use digital organizing of Action Network
as a tool for community organizing
FFF, PCJ, and NAZCCA welcome all those interested in learning how we use, or those in need of improving basic digital skills, to help bring the community into action to deal with climate change and switch to renewables. Requirements to join this group are
- have a computer and come on time. Time zones include 9 AM Arizona, 10 AM Navajo time, noon East Coast Time, 1800 hours Central European Time, 1900 hours East Africa Time
- understand just basics of databases, spreadsheets or excel
- have a determination to help as a volunteer from the simplest to the more complex functions of action network used by NAZCCA or FFF or other groups
- know full well that data is a useful tool to help bring the change we need but is not an end in itself--it is a tool for comunity organizing.
- minimally 3 participants
- not geographic bound. You can be anywhere.
Rolf vom Dorp has several degrees, including one in ecoonometrics from the U. of Stockholm. He has been using Action Network for close to eight years with NAZCCA or globally with Fridays for Future. He is teaching the use of Action Network in some 12 countries as an organizing tool to help bring about the change we need. Criticisms and evaluation. Much of this will need rework but a dire need to commence sustained outreach for a new energy system before we self annihilate.
