On Friday, HUD published a proposal to evict immigrants living in subsidized housing (including Public Housing and Section 8). That means 100,000 of our neighbors across the US will have to make the impossible choice of either separating their family or staying together to face eviction and homelessness. 37,000 citizen children may lose their housing and their parents. Homelessness will certainly rise. We will all be affected.

This proposal is cruel, costly, and counterproductive. We must unite to KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER and housed. Our goal is to send 60,000 comments over the next 60 days opposing this proposal. We need EVERYONE to get involved. The first step is to get educated on what is happening and how we can fight this together.
