On February 20th, HUD published a proposal to evict immigrants living in subsidized housing (including Public Housing and Section 8). That means 80,000 of our neighbors across the US will have to make the impossible choice of either separating their family or staying together to face eviction and homelessness 36,000 citizen children may lose their housing and their parents. Homelessness will certainly rise. We will all be affected.

This proposal is cruel, costly, and counterproductive. We must unite to KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER and housed. Our goal is to send 60,000 comments by 4/20 opposing this proposal. We need EVERYONE to get involved. The first step is to get educated on what is happening and how we can fight this together.

El 20 de Febrero, el Departamento de Vivienda y Desarrollo Urbano (HUD) publicó una propuesta para desalojar a los inmigrantes que viven en viviendas subsidiadas (como la Vivienda Pública y Sección 8). Eso significa que 80,000 de nuestros vecinos en todo Estados Unidos tendrán que tomar la decisión imposible de separar a su familia o permanecer juntos para enfrentar el desalojo y quedarse sin hogar 36,000 niños ciudadanos podrían perder su vivienda y a sus padres. Sin duda, aumentará el número de personas sin hogar. Todos seremos afectados.

Nuestro objetivo es enviar 60,000 comentarios en contra de esta propuesta antes de 4/20. TODOS tenemos que alzar la voz.
