WA is on the edge of a new wave of nuclear threats. As a strong and resilient nuclear free movement we have fought of nuclear power in Collie and have held the line against uranium mining..... now the threats are escalating... nuclear submarines are more frequent visitors to Cockburn Sound, there's approval to construct a temporary low level nuclear waste storage facility at Meandip - Garden Island and Deep Yellow are advancing plans to mine uranium on Upurli Upurli Nguratja at Mulga Rock. Rare Earths mines are producing radioactive mine waste and Tellus holdings have established the Sandy Ridge radioactive waste facility and are now looking customers.
