May Day is Coming! Help us celebrate workers and tell Mark Warner that his refusal to support the PRO Act is not acceptable! We will rally in front of Senator Warner's Roanoke office, with speakers from local groups, unions, and fellow DSA members! We want to keep up the pressure to increase worker power in Virginia and the country, Saturday, May 1st at 2pm. The PRO Act can help us rebuild a powerful working class, and Senator Warner is one of only a few standing in its way. Coincidentally, he's also the richest member of the Senate... Chapters in Alexandria, Charlottesville, and Norfolk will also be holding events around the same time on Saturday specifically targeting Warner for his inaction.

After this rally, we are having a social gathering at the lower picnic shelter in Washington Park. This will be a socially distanced event, but we are excited to meet our membership in person! To keep it safe, we will only be providing drinks, so please pack a picnic and come for some solidarity. Blankets and chairs would be a good idea if you'd like to spread out on the grass area, too.
