So many meetings about housing projects! We need your help tracking them all. Attend the Merrifield SSPA Community Meeting about these four housing proposals. Then, report back to your Fairfax County YIMBY Leads by emailing your notes to hello@yimbysofnova.com, or message us in the Fairfax YIMBY Megachat.

Together, these four proposals could produce as many as 1800 new homes in Merrifield, and we need to know if there is significant opposition to these projects. We also want to know if there are any fatal flaws with any of these proposals. We would greatly appreciate your help by attending this meeting, taking notes, and speaking up for housing.

This community meeting is organized by Fairfax County to engage with the community about these proposals.

Periodically, Fairfax County solicits proposals for land use changes through the Site-Specific Plan Amendment (SSPA) process. The county has formally accepted these proposals, or "nominations", into the program. If they pass this current "screening" phase, the county staff will be instructed to study them in depth and produce a report and recommendation for each nomination.
