People's Climate March Bend

Start: Saturday, April 29, 201712:00 PM

Come be a part of the largest Climate Movement in History! Take a stand for climate, science, and clean energy jobs and justice for all. Join together for a peaceful, family-friendly event with speakers and music by Chiringa. Learn and get involved in the mini climate fair.  Youth will work on an art banner. Music by Chiringa. Lets inspire our leaders and our community as we march with thousands of others in solidarity across our nation.

Let's unite and organize together for what we know is right. Discover what you can do to resist the attack on our values and take actions towards a positive outcome. We'll ask Bend City Council to FUND the RESOLUTION that was passed September 2016. We can save money and protect a healthy climate, rather than perpetuating pollution that kills people and increases asthma, heart, and lung disease.

We all deserve a healthy climate, clean air, and clean water.  We know the way forward to protect these rights and our quality of life as well as future generations. Clean energy is our future as we act on climate and create good paying jobs for everyone, and especially those who want to make a JUST TRANSITION away from dirty fossil fuels.

Lets rally support for Climate Action and save our people, planet, forests and rivers, Lets put forward our vision of climate justice for all, not just a special few. Let's march together, starting at the Drake Park Amphitheatre, going through downtown Bend, and ending at the Bend Education Center, across from the downtown library.
