We plan on meeting at GT Community Park in Sicklerville at 11:30 AM. We plan to rally together in solitary in a peaceful and controlled environment.
This is a peaceful event and invite anyone, race, or gender!
Be sure to spread the word about this event to your local network over social media and by email - this is a grassroots march and we hope to include as many members of our local community as possible!
Please feel free to bring and present your creative, positive, and individualized signs celebrating human rights, diversity, freedom, and equality for all. As this is a peaceful rally and not a protest, we do ask that any individualized signs avoid using any strong anti-Trump rhetoric. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on January 21st!

What does this mean
If anyone wants to join, there will be a group at Alder Middle School at 7pm on Tuesday as the EHT Public School system decided to suspend their momentum on the Transgender Student Policy in light of President Trump's failure to uphold Obama's policy.
Move on Action for Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 7 PM during the fake president's fake speech.......do not watch it, but instead go outside and bang pots and pans if you can!
Does anyone have any information on where Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, Phil Murphy, and John Wisnieski stand on any of the issues?
Here is a link to John Wisniewski's positions on a number of issues. (Disclosure: I am working as a volunteer on his campaign. I've observed him in Trenton over the past 5 or 6 years, and he's the "real thing." When you look at this exensive list, you will probably find areas of disagreement. I do. But overall, he's the type of person that I'd like to see as our next governor - energetic, progressive, and honest.)

URGENT! If you haven't received the email from action network, here is the recommended procedure; "reset your account password using the reset password form on the login page, log back in, and, if you use the Action Network API, revoke and reissue any API keys you use from the API and SYNC section in the Start Organizing menu." There is no evidence of a breach, this is cautionary.
Thank you Francis, I got that e mail too. Thank you for sharing!

For anyone in Donald Norcross district -- Who is he supporting for DNC Chair? Who is he supporting for Gov2017 race? *crickets* from all NJ Dems re this critical election in Nov.2017 for Gov of NJ. This election, along with VA2017 and Georgia special is 1st chance to hand pussy-grabber-in chief losses. Elected NJ Dems haven't been talking about the Gov race at all.

For anyone in Frank LoBiondo's District 2, check out how he has voted! Trust me you need to see it!
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/frank-a-lobiondo/
Rachel Maddox on MSNBC has been covering town halls all week. Last night she asked for videos from people who were having difficulty contacting their representatives and were having to resort to unusual tactics. You can email your video to her at Rachel@msnbc.com.
I have been printing up Missing person posters, since Lobiondo refuses to hold a town hall meeting, so if anyone in District 2 would like to post some in your area let me know! I would LOVE for him to see them posted all over his ENTIRE district!

If you are in District 2 and have not already signed the petition to Congressman LoBiondo to hold a town hall meeting during the Congressional recess (which is his JOB), please sign and pass it on!

Also, another Indivisible group has started a similar petition:

Thank you everyone! Keep the pressure on our representatives!
Does it say which ones don't have any higher education? If not, any way we can find out?
I find this to be extremely funny:
"Higher education? I think I can give you a unique perspective on that, since I never even finished high school."
So says Daniel W. Thatcher, a self-taught electrical contractor and freshman state senator in Utah who sits on the state's Senate Education Committee.
So I'm going to guess that its the GOP who have the uneducated people. Seems like it from Trump right on down to the dude cleaning the toilet in the white house.
So that means he's not a licensed electrical contractor. That means he works under a licensed electrical contractor. He might be able to do the job; but guess what...without an education to get licensed, he will always be working under someone.
No college? Now I know why they aren't familiar with Hitler.

NJ District 3 - Forced Townhall w/ or w/o MacArthur Sign up to Attend
Wednesday, February 22 at 7 p.m.
Hosted by Nancy B.
DeMasi School
Marlton, NJ 08053
We have been asking MacArthur for an in-person townhall event and he has time and time again said that he won't because paid protesters are hijacking townhalls all around the country. Well guess what? There are hundreds maybe even thousands of MacArthur's constituents who continue to protest his votes against the ACA, women's reproductive rights, refugees, etc. -all unpaid. Please come out if you are a nj district 3 resident and you want your voice to be heard.

Incredibly, conman Macarthur and Frank [I'm just here for the paycheck] Lobiondo, both ran practically unopposed in 2016! The Democrats on the ticket got no funding! How is that possible! The NJ Democratic Party has some 'splainin to do! Now take a guess who supports these two mutts?!!..........New Jersey right-to-life; aka, the catholic church!
LoBiondo is an ALEC member also! He refuses to have a Town Hall meeting so I am floating the idea I got from the Move On call, and we his CONSTITUENTS will hold one................and invite speakers.............and LoBiondo..........and record it..........if he doesn't show..........he looks bad..............if he does...........we will hold his feet to the fire!
Might also put MISSING flyers up all over his District........Missing..... Congressman LoBiondo....if found please notify his constituents, as we have not seen him since he was elected!
My daughter wants his seat in Congress. Need YOUNG BLOOD. She was on NBC telling that she wants to run!!
It's great that someone wants to oppose him. What are her qualifications? Has she ever held public office? Does she have a law degree? The Dem party will not kick in any funding so she should get started right now on a 'go fund me' effort. And the more outrageous the orange monkey acts with his ridiculous executive orders, the better her chances because eventually he is going to sign one that his base will see is offensive to them or will hurt them in some way. Especially those fools that believe he is going to give a tax break to the working class.
Adrea, I am meeting with the Atlantic Country Democrat Party Co Chair this afternoon and I will mention that your daughter is interested in running. I am hoping I can help her with some good contacts in the party. I will do whatever I can.
You talk about what her qualifications are? What were Trumps? She has a lot more education than him and is very well versed in the workings of government.
She is a Master of Criminal Justice.
Andrea, you seem to have taken offense to my questions when that is not what was intended. I would love to see her kick LoBiondo's butt out of the House. But keep in mind that the democratic machine is very tight fisted with campaign money unless they already have a lock on a district and believe they have a candidate that will definitely win. The party refused to support Barbara Buono when she ran against Christie. They refused to support Amy Vasquez when she ran against woman-hating Chris Smith in the 4th district. I hope she does run and will support her if she set ups a campaign fund. Unfortunately, I can't vote for her because I live in the 1st district which by the way, is rarely challenged by a republican. Congressman Andrews usually ran unopposed because the republicans knew the dems had a lock on the district. The same is true for the state assembly seats quite often. Tell you daughter I hope she goes for it and I wish her the best of luck. Let us know if she sets up a gofundme or similar page. We are all like minded people on this board so I'm sure she will get plenty of support.
Francis...I think you should cool the nasty references to the Catholic church. All people are entitled to their own ideas about abortion rights. No need to malign a whole bunch of people who DO agree with us. Thanks for thinking about this?..Ruth Schmid
I did some research...this is from Huffington Post
Education
• Roll Call Member profiles at the beginning of the 113th Congress, reported 21 members of the House and 1 Senator have no educational degree beyond a high school diploma.
• 7 Members of the House have associate’s degrees as their highest degree, and 1 House Member has an L.P.N. (nursing) degree.
• 85 members of the House and 14 Senators earned a master’s degree as their highest education degree.
• 169 Members of the House (38% of the House) and 57 Senators (57% of the Senate), held law degrees.
• 19 House Representatives have doctoral (Ph.D. or D.Phil.) degrees.
• 22 Members of the House and 3 Senators have a medical degree.
• 3 Representatives and one Senator in the 113th Congress are graduates of the U.S. Military Academy and 1 Senator and 1 Representative graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy.
• 1 Senator and 2 Representatives were Rhodes Scholars, 2 Representatives were Fulbright Scholars, 2 Representatives were Marshall Scholars, and 1 Representative was a Truman Scholar.
21 -without any college?
Hi Gina,
I guess it depends on the platform & how many people you know who actually vote. She grew up in Atlantic County. We know so many people (who know lots of people and so on). I hate to toot my own horn, but the kid is brilliant. She could dance circles around LoBiondo in a debate (I hate to admit it, but I actually have a fondness for him...really, not him, his staff. They worked hard for me when I needed help and got the job done.
I already know my idiot relatives from NY won't kick in any money. Stupid Orthodox Jews actually voted for Rump. Hopefully, you'll get to meet her.
I wanted her to run against MacArthur, but we really don't know anyone in that area.
If she can get her own fundraising started (she has to do some sort of registration with a bank account set up just for collecting donations), and it starts looking like a serious challenge, perhaps ActBlue.com will add her to the list of candidates that they will help in their 'Take Back the House' campaign. Just a suggestion.
Dear Ruth; Thanks for your reply. It is not 'nasty' to state the fact that the catholic church is one of the most misogynist organizations in the world, constantly spending MILLIONS of dollars lobbying against women's reproductive rights. You can not have a dialog on abortion and birth control without stating the truth of the church's antiquated, harmful anti-women policies. It is past the time for church members to speak out. Do you find it a coincidence that the 3 redcoat congressmen in South Jersey are catholics funded by the church? Religion does not belong in our government. During the Bush administration the church lobbied against birth control preventing the U.S. from sending birth control education to foreign countries, exacerbating the AIDS epidemic; a policy now taken up by trump.. http://www.salon.com/2015/11/30/catholic_dogmas_are_killing_people_in_africa/
I understand your position, Francis, and agree with you. But I still think we should fight the issue at hand instead of taking on the entire worldwide Catholic church. We need to defeat one man in our district and make that the entire focus. That way we have a good chance at winning. Taking on an entire religion will get us no where except written off as a bunch of anti-Papists. That is my point.
Excellent point Ruth, thanks for your focus, better to inspire positive reactions. The injustice is just overwhelming at times.
thanks, Francis, for considering my point. Forward to victory...
Is anyone going to the Not My President Rally in Philly on Monday? It starts at noon at Thomas Paine Plaza. I'll be there.

I try to share as much info as I can to keep us motivated and fighting the good fight, and fight we must!
Senators and representatives are headed to their home districts this weekend for the first Congressional recess of this term. This recess is the perfect time for us, as constituents, to demand a plan of action for holding the toxic Trump White House accountable.
February 18 - 26, we need to mobilize a critical mass of people to storm elected officials' district offices, local events and town halls to show Congress in no uncertain terms that we will not sit idly by and let fascists take over our nation. We can't do it alone.
https://www.resistancerecess.com/event/resist-recess/search/?source=dailykos&link_id=0&can_id=49b8e48c7de4ad400222f80ed7be2552&email_referrer=resisttrump-volunteer-opportunity-in-statefull-default-your-state-please-read&email_subject=resisttrump-volunteer-opportunity-in-statefull-default-your-state-please-read
Let's get working on this!
This must be our primary focus for taking back the house. Targeting do nothing, anti-women redcoats will destroy the alt-right agenda. Our resources must be attractive to media outlets and women. We also need men to step up and support their Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Aunts, Nieces, Wives and Partners! Without them we would still be crawling around in the caves.
Francis - While I agree that we must take back the House, this will not be a short-term effort. It took the Tea Party 30 years to screw up America. It will take us a similar amount of time to fix it. So while we should strive to make the House more progressive, we also need to develop a farm team. We need young, progressive men and women to run for town councils, boards of education, etc. That's where the next generation of leaders will come from.
If you know of anyone who is interested, encourage them to attend this Democratic Candidate and Volunteer Workshop!
Tuesday, Feb, 28th
Registration begins at 6 PM
Program begins at 6:30 PM

Also they can sign up with Emily's List:

Thanks Steve! This is a great strategy, connecting with young progressives to energize future generations! Perhaps a young progressive committee to reach out on college campuses.
I reached out to Emily's List several times, they have no candidates in NJ, and rightly need to focus on a large number of their successes up for reelection. They are still planning the run-to-win campaign. I'll report back on any response.
Rally/protest tomorrow, Friday, Feb, 17 at the Taj casino on the boardwalk at 10 AM! Come if you can!
I have started a Move On petition to Senator LoBiondo to hold a town hall meeting while Congress is in recess. Please sign if you are in his district, and pass it on! He agreed to have a meeting this Friday morning, but only allowed 12 people to take part!
Thank you!

Also, there is a protest rally this Friday morning, Feb 17, starting at 10 AM at the Taj casino on the boardwalk organized by the Southern NJ Women's Democratic committee.
Speaker Paul Ryan doesn't want to hear from you--his phones are always busy, his voicemail is always full, and he won't even hold a town hall.
Since he's not making it easy, UltraViolet figured out a different way to get through to him--we're going to drive a truck full of postcards to Speaker Ryan's front door. If you write a note right now, we'll put it on a postcard and deliver it with thousands of others! Can you take two minutes to write a note to Speaker Ryan?
https://act.weareultraviolet.org/sign/paulryan_postcards/?aktmid=tm3893326.YB0iW3&t=2&source=conf
Thanks!
If you can pass this along and get anyone you can to sign! Let's fill the truck!
I want to start writing my post cards now for March 15. The facilitate the writing, I would like to make it short and sweet. Any ideas? I could probably get a stamp made for the address.

Here's a quick action step you could take today: Send an email to Representative LoBiondo's south Jersey meeting scheduler, requesting that Rep. LoBiondo please hold a town hall-style meeting, if you are in his district. Her name is Linda Hinckley and her email address is:
Linda.Hinckley@mail.house.gov
Folks in the Third Congressional District (MacArthur) can do the same by sending an email to Frank Luna
Frank.Luna@mail.house.gov
Excellent! Get those e mails out everyone! We are making a difference!
FYI, Rep. McArthur is holding a "tele-town hall" meeting tonight at 5:00. The call in number is 877-229-8493 and the PIN is 123968#
So he's too afraid to show in person? The Congress is in recess and I would ask why he would not meet with his constituents in person! He is not in DC. and he was elected to serve "we the people"! Hold his feet to the fire as we need to do with EVERY Congressional Rep. Democrat or Republican!
My suggestion is to ask direct questions and do NOT settle for softball talking points answer.
I called too Temma and it says the pin is invalid.
Got message that the code # is invalid
I say show up at his NJ office tomorrow on #ResistTrumpTuesday! Move on and Indivisable groups are BOTH showing up at their Congressman's office's on Tuesday's to protest
#45's actions! Demand a town hall meeting!! Remind him you VOTE!
P.S. And any and every day you can show up at his office! Carry signs........make noise.......be HEARD!!
I was able to get in but it was worthless. He's picking questions. I think the pin was just for me because I emailed.
Very likely Sheila. I would still go to his office and get others to demand an in person town hall meeting! He is paid by our tax dollars! If you can get people to show up tomorrow, great! The more the better! We need to fight like H e double ll.....!! letters, calls.............e mails..........never stop!
What time should we show up?
I think most people are going at noon or 1 PM.

Imagine a child living in a camp, hearing encouragement from someone across the world who cares! https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/action/email-letter-to-refugee/?utm_source=Iterable&utm_campaign=iterable_US_Feb_10_2017_Write_Letter_to_Refugee&utm_medium=email
I live quite close to the army base, in the past we would hear monthly, occasional blasts and firearms. The last 2 weeks there is a constant barrage of house shaking explosions and I've seen a few guards carrying their sidearm in local stores. The buildup is here.
I just took myself off of MEDFORD 08055 Face Book. I did that a few months ago with MEDFORD LAKES. A user asked what the crowd was doing at the Indian Springs golf course. That started the ball rolling. Some of the comments from the Republicans were nasty but one or two were vulgar and definitely on the violent side. Just sharing this as a precaution. My husband and I plan to be there this week.
You must be vigilant with your information online, especially facebook. They have no security and don't care if you get hacked. A Democratic group I was in were completely ruined, facebook did nothing. Just as the fake president lies every time his lips move, there are groups who want to control social media. Sorry for your trouble.
A little Friday Sarah Palin humor from our friends to the north................well at least they are our friends for now............it's worth watching once you get past the commercial! ESPECIALLY the ending!!!

Bernice King posted on her Be A King’s Facebook page 10 steps to deal with Trump and take back our democratic government. She passed on this wise advice:
1.Don’t use his name; EVER (45 will do)
2.Remember this is a regime and he’s not acting alone;
3.Do not argue with those who support him–it doesn’t work;
4.Focus on his policies, not his orange-ness and mental state;
5.Keep your message positive; they want the country to be angry and fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow;
6.No more helpless/hopeless talk;
7.Support artists and the arts;
8.Be careful not to spread fake news. Check it;
9.Take care of yourselves; and
10.Resist!
So shall we all
God bless the 9th circuit court of appeals. They made my day!!!!
Also, there is a Huddle in Mays Landing this Saturday, Feb. 11 if anyone is interested, go to this link to RSVP and get more information. I will be attending.
https://actionnetwork.org/events/womens-march-huddle-20?source=direct_link&referrer=helen-duda
The more we meet others and work together, the more we can accomplish! I would very much like to see if we can get a strong progressive woman candidate to run against LoBiondo!
Anyone with a contact at the Democratic Party? No answer at the main number. I made a contact at Emily's List and they should be sending some info. They don't have a candidate in New Jersey, so we have work to do!
Try Judy Casagrande at this number for anyone who wants info on how to get involved with the NJ Democratic party. She is the Atlantic County Coordinator, but she may be able help with other counties as well.
609-412-5252
There is a meeting of the County Committee on February 12th at 1:00 pm at the Teamsters Hall, 1 Philadelphia Ave, Egg Harbor City. There will be a brief business meeting, then Phil Murphy, who is running for governor, will speak.
I plan on attending, if anyone wants to join me.
Also, to find Huddles in our area, check out this link. Huddles are action #2 of the Women's March!

Burlington County Democratic Chair is Joe Andl (856) 912-1782
There's a committee meeting coming up in a couple of weeks to (I think) talk about this.
Also, Burlington County Young Democrats (Stephen Steglik 856 979 2607)
If you're a registered Democrat, you should know who your local committee person is, as well as your municipal chair. About half the committee seats are empty, and the municipal chair has the authority to appoint someone to the commitee. (Next election for these seats in the 2018 Primary).
If you don't know who your municipal chair is, send me a private email with your town and I'll try to find out. SMSTERN@gmail.com
Thanks Steve! I think the young Democrats should be our focus, it worked for Bernie! I'm in Ocean County, surrounded by redcoats.
Thanks Helen! I should be healed up in another week. See you soon!
Be well Francis!
If you are thinking to run for an elected office, or know someone you think should, check out this site. There is a lot of good information at Emily's List. They even offer training, and do great work to help qualified women get elected! We NEED organizations like this to counter the corporate takeover!
http://www.emilyslist.org/pages/entry/run-for-office?&source=WQSOW_digital_homepage_20170104_Run_r4
Also the marches, protests, calls and letters DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! We must continue to #Resist Trump!
I just signed up at Emily's to the 'Help a woman run' page. It's a primer to engage in everyday tasks to encourage participation in concrete steps to election results. Also I'm waiting for their response on helping our group to facilitate a candidate for South Jersey! We also need a contact with the Democratic party. It's who you know!
OOPS! Here's the link to 'help a woman run... https://secure.emilyslist.org/page/s/20170130_website_HelpElectAWoman?utm_medium=email&utm_source=emilyslist&utm_content=5&utm_campaign=WQENE208_digital_email_20170209_RunToWin2_v1s3&source=WQENE208_digital_email_20170209_RunToWin2_v1s3
I am encouraging Amber to run.....we all should!
Very important to get involved with your local Democratic party everyone! We need all the help w can get to get more progressive women elected....and REMOVE Republicans wherever we can!
And you don't have to be a female to join and support Emily's List........get the guys on it too....like Francis!
I'm looking into it guys!
As Francis mentioned in an earlier post, Emily's List is a powerhouse organization that works to get progressive women elected, such as Tammy Duckworth, Patti Murray, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren!
Please sign up and encourage EVERYONE you know to join, and donate whatever you can! We can march and protest, but we need to get more progressive women elected if we are ever to stop Trump, and the Republicans who are intent on taking away our rights!
Thank you, this is so very important!
http://www.emilyslist.org/
And this relates to the unbelievable, astounding, disturbing, incomprehensible realization that Blue Jersey has only ONE woman in congress! Whatever we think about the crimes this administration is committing, it's just the tip of what they are capable of, our democracy is the next Endangered Species! These thugs want to undermine our society's entire safety net for vulnerable people. The Red Menace is here, and we are the last line of defense for our children's and grandchildren's future!

Last night during debate on Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions, Elizabeth Warren was reading a letter from Coretta Scott King. In the letter, Mrs. King laid out the reasons Jeff Sessions should NEVER be awarded a high position in government.
But Senator Warren wasn’t able to finish reading the letter. Because Mitch McConnell misused a Senate procedure in order to force her to sit down and stop talking.
To suggest that a letter from Coretta Scott King is inappropriate to read on the Senate floor is outrageous!
In defending his actions, Mitch McConnell said: “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.” Well, there’s one thing Senator McConnell is right about. We’re going to persist!!!
Hypocrite, misogynist McConnell had no problem when Bernie Sanders read the very same letter!
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!

Call your senators immediately. Tell them you vehemently oppose Jeff Sessions as Attorney General.
Call Senator Cory A. Booker at (202) 224-3224 and Senator Robert Menendez at (202) 224-4744.
Hi, this is your name, calling from your zip code and town, and I oppose the nomination of Jeff Sessions.
If the DC number for Sen. Booker is busy, try one of the local offices: (856)338-8922, (973)639-8700
And Sen. Menendez at: (856)338-8922, (973)639-8700
Hillary---we do not have to go to Margate; Tom MacArthur's office is in Marlton and/or Toms River. The whole Congresss has off "president's week" for study and work sessions. HA HA HA
Tom is having radio call ins....not sure when or what station....we could all go to his office in Marlton and add another Rep to the Tuesday list.
Democratic party around here is not doing very much....I am disappointed that they have not had the sense to reach out to some of us "women marchers"....but that is OK...we are probably better off on our own.
Where is Mac Arthur's office in Marlton and what is the number thank you
I posted the address and phone number above Judith.
My mother-in-law in Margate says she and her husband have been going to LoBiondo's office in Mays Landing every Tuesday since the inauguration. An aide takes the group in, takes notes on their issues and concerns, and promises to relay them to LoBiondo. She said this week about 30 people showed. If anyone wants to participate, she and the members of the Democratic Club in Margate go around noon each week. She also said they are pressing the aide to follow through on LoBiondo's promise to hold a town hall style meeting when he is back in town at the end of the month (not sure of the dates, but should be easy enough to find out). It would probably be worthwhile to mobilize for that event, and to up the pressure on LoBiondo to follow through on having the town hall meeting, since many politicians are shying away from them, as they are becoming very contentious.
Cherry Hill is outside of MacArthur's district. (It used to be part of it, but 2011 gerrymandering took it out - it's in Norcross' district now). The last time a Cherry Hill person ran (against Runyan), she was soundly defeated.
I agree with you about Rep. MacArthur. I have been studying his voting record & could not believe he voted against the Stream Protection Rule which Obama put into place.
Two facts to keep in mind when considering how you'll vote in 2018:
Firstly, Rep. MacArthur was the ONLY NJ congressman to attend the RNC. He supported DT for president. That tells me he supported the horrific rhetoric espoused by DT during the campaign. In a news article, he states that he was NOT LONELY being the only NJ congressman to attend the RNC to support the Republican nominee for president.
Secondly, although he lived most of his life in Randolph, NJ, a part of the 11th district represented by Rodney Frelinghuysen for the past 20 years, he did not run for the congress in this district . (I wonder why?). Instead, he "moves" to his LBI home the year of the election & wins the seat to represent OUR 3rd district.
How does someone representing our shore area NOT care about the cleanliness of our waterways???
#NO to MacArthur in 2018!
We live in Cherry Hill...Can my daughter run for his spot? She should be in public office.
Cherry Hill is District 1, Donald Norcross [D], here is the map according to wikipedia; Lobiondo is 2, Macarthur 3, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Jersey%27s_congressional_districts
I met someone from the Hammonton area on a Pinelands pipeline protest that has another Indivisible group, so possibly we can coordinate some efforts to work to remove Repub Senators! I will be going to their huddle this weekend, and will share info with everyone. Strength in numbers! I do think if we join forces for a common goal we can be much more successful!
Helen....I love your skill and enthusiasm...just one point, these 3 guys are Representatives for NJ to Congress...Our Senators, Booker and Menendez are both Democrats who did their best to vote down Trumps cabinet but could not overcome the GOP majority... We have to get out all our people in 2018 to vote these guys out of office permanently>>> no to carpetbaggers like MacArthur
Thank you Ruth, we have a tough row to hoe, as they say! We up against a huge GOP money machine...as in the Koch brothers and the ALEC organization.
If we can get some good candidates to run against them. and we get out like we did in the Women's March, raise money for ads.........I think it's doable. We can't win if we don't try..................we need to come together and join forces with not just women, but people all over southern NJ, I believe we can be successful!
2018 ....the future of our country hangs in the balance!
These are the Senators who voted for DeVos and whose terms end in 2018: Constituents of these states wanted to get these folks out...I know these are not NJ representatives, but if people here feel strongly about this issue, I'm sure there are ways to assist in the campaigns of their potential challengers.
Flake - Arizona
Wicker - Mississippi
Fischer - Nebraska
Heller - Nevada
Corker - Tennessee
Cruz - Texas
Hatch - Utah
Barrasso - Wyoming
Flake and Heller each only won by a slim margin. They should be target #1.
You're absolutely right Hillary, there is a way. We need to raise as much money as possible and fund groups that will put that money where it's needed to remove these slugs. Groups like Moveon and Change.org actually target the local elections in Red states. I think that this will most definitely be one of our main functions when this group finally comes together. No real change can take place until we get the Red out!
Let's talk about the elephant in the room; actually 3 elephants in our South Jersey room. Blue Jersey has 3 republican anti-women congressMEN in the house. I say congressmen because there is only 1 woman elected to congress from the State of New Jersey! These 3 elephants, Smith, Lobiondo, and Macarthur think that a woman's healthcare decisions should be made by men, Smith and Lobiondo, who actually voted against the Violence Against Women Act, have been riding their anti-women agenda for decades, Macarthur is a carpetbagger from north jersey who loves the Keystone pipeline and thinks the defense budget is too SMALL! Here's a little item voters might consider [try not to laugh] Lobiondo has been in the house for 22 years and how many bills has he had signed in over 2 decades?............. 2 ......... The question isn't what's wrong with these elephants; the question is; who's going to inform their voters that they've been buying snake oil?
Thank you Francis. You have given us a way to balance the future with the stupidity of the Trump administration. Today MacArthur voted with the GOP to allow coal companies and others to dump their waste into their local streams. Did he never study geology or gravity? Water flows downhill into rivers and the ocean . This will allow wealthy polluters to keep more money and to polute even more. This needs to be curtailed, not encouraged. What is the matter with a man who represents New Jersey and yet allows pollution. I cannot wait to get ready to vote him and the other two elephants out of office. Only 21 months to go....Bye Bye Tommy
Let's work to have them REMOVED!! I'm ALL IN!
http://www.emilyslist.org/run-to-win?utm_medium=email&utm_source=emilyslist&utm_content=4&utm_campaign=WQENE205G_digital_email_20170206_RunToWin_don&source=WQENE205G_digital_email_20170206_RunToWin_don
If anyone knows a woman who is interested in running for office, or you think should run for office ( the name Amber comes to mind!) check out this site. We need our voices heard at EVERY level of government! As Francis said, Emily's List does awesome work helping get qualified women elected to office.
MATTHEW DOWNING
Thank you Kimberly Bonora for your "heads-up" about Senator Tillis (NC). I called and left a lengthy message and sent his office an email. In the email I referenced a study demonstrating that public education outperforms private. Here is my email in its entirety:
I am a retired public school teacher. I taught in both private and public schools, both in the U.S. and in Ecuador. I am firmly committed to public education for a number of reasons; high standards of teacher certification, continuing education and support for teachers, commitment to education for all students, to cite a few. Ms. DeVos has demonstrated her allegiance to the "marketist" model of education; that choice is the answer to our education woes. Let me call your attention to a study of the NAEP data by Christopher Lubienski and Sarah Theule Lubienski entitled, "The Public School Advantage: Why Public Schools Outperform Private Schools." This study exhaustively compares private vs. public school outcomes in math and reading in grades 4 and 8 and demonstrates a significant advantage for children attending public schools. In the final chapter, they state the following:
"The continued popularity of marketist reforms inspired by market theory, despite not only the dearth of data supporting these policies but the emerging evidence challenging them, offers a classic example of policymakers elevating means over the ends, an ideological strategy over the actual evidence, and a policy goal over the actual purpose of the institution. But while market theory focuses on how markets should work in education, there is a paucity of evidence supporting the marketist belief regarding how the private and independent sectors actually perform. The extended infatuation with vouchers for private schools, for instance, or the nationwide effort to expand charter schools, regardless of the thin empirical basis for these policies, speaks to the power of this belief to guide policy. Such initiatives continue to gain ground despite the fact that published, peer-reviewed studies consistently fail to find persuasive evidence that these programs are effective at achieving their promised goals." (p. 130)
Therefore I must urge you to join your colleagues form Alaska and Maine and vote NO on Ms. DeVos.
Public School Teachers Rock! OMG, that's a great sign!
What is our group's name?
The indivisible guidelines agenda has that scheduled in the first meeting.
The Indivisible group its work and guide were just given a plug in a report on NPR this morning. The report mentioned that the Indivisible Guide could be downloaded for free. Great advertising for us!
Here is a very important article on focusing to the task at hand. Schedule and balance direct us to our goals...... https://medium.com/the-mission/how-to-hack-your-brain-for-insane-focus-and-productivity-according-to-harvard-research-5a3504d43d93#.2tlx6tb9e
We are officially registered under Indivisibleguide.com
This allows us to merge with the other indivisible groups in district 3 for the same agenda.
We are still an independent group with our own meetings.
We just have more of a guide line to follow and now I have a good flow of information after my meeting with SJ coalition of Progressives last night.
Great job! Guidelines are indispensable, direction is everything to cohesive action that powers a message to congress that we mean business, and our business means votes!
Thank you Francis for posting about Emily's list. This one is really important in the fight because Trump's Merry Band of Extreme Right Conservative Christians WILL most definitely try to take away a woman's fundamental right to control her own body. Emily's List will help to put women in office. I just donated $5.00. It's not a lot but it does help. I am asking as many of you as possible to just donate $5.00, it's what is needed in this fight. $5.00 to help put women into office across this country. http://www.emilyslist.org/
Emily's List is now 5 million strong. They are recruiting all over the country for pro-choice women to run; their record of getting women elected is phenomenal, 30 years of diligent training and support of women's rights. The best part; they scare the bejesus out of the thugs. http://www.emilyslist.org/
DeVos Update: North Carolina's Thom Tillis's office says he's undecided and wants to hear from people.

Thank you Kimberly, texted to as many as possible to call his office!
Don’t let up. YOU are making a difference. It’s time to double down. Tomorrow is #ResistTrumpTuesday and your voices deserve to be heard. Show up to your senator or congressman’s office and let them know you are NOT a paid protester and you reject this Republican-led agenda. Check the Indivisible Guide's list of events and find one near you.

Make them listen to WE THE PEOPLE, and never stop! They are supposed to be OUR Public Servants, and listen to our needs and concerns! NOT Dictators!
Keep calling, writing letters, and going to their offices and letting our Congress people know we will NOT be silent while this regime tries to destroy our country!
Do I feel sorry for this scared Congressman running away? Not one bit!!!
I feel sorry for people at risk of losing their health insurance, their voting rights, women losing their rights, worker's losing their rights, LGBT losing their rights........people of different nationalities and religions losing their rights, people losing Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.....and I fear for the loss of our very Democracy!

President Trump's pick to run the Environmental Protection Agency—Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt—sided with polluters who gave millions to his political agenda. His repeated collaboration with major polluters undermines confidence in his ability to stand up for everyday Americans as EPA Administrator. Then there is that slogan, “America First.” It is astounding that those words have not turned stomachs across the American political spectrum.
After all, as anyone with a modicum of historical and political awareness should know, “America First” was American Nazi sympathizers’ slogan in 1940, during Lindbergh’s time.
Excellent article by Bill Moyers!

Just came up with my next sign; a beautiful picture of Hillary with the caption; "How do you like me now".............. Here she is arriving at the theater to cheers and chants of 'Hillary Hillary'! http://www.msn.com/en-us/video/watch/cheers-for-hillary-clinton-at-broadway-theatre/vp-AAmC1Qp
Okay, I watched that and really tried not to cry.
You won't be drawing that picture of Hillary YOURSELF.......I hope, Francis??? Sorry I just had to get a dig in!
LOL I sent Amber a buck so I don't have to do the arts and crafts!!
I'll bet my house that STEVE BANNON knew that "America First" was the American Nazi sympathizers' slogan in 1941.

In the good news report; The federal court has denied the fake president's attempt to reinstate the travel BAN! They still have to schedule a hearing, but it looks really positive! Congratulations to all our protesters!
A big PFFFHHHTTTT to the "SO CALLED" president!
I am putting up a forum on my website for us to use. I should have it done later today. If you want me to, Amber, I can also put up a blog.
February 20, 2017, Noon to 4PM,
Not MY President rally outside Trump Tower in NYC.
Can't wait to go to this one.
Okay ladies, (& guys)
Let's get IN-FORMATION ?
Get it? Like in formation?
No... maybe? Okay... ?
ANYWAYS. thanks to Tami Bobrin who is heading up the preparations for the Relay of Life in Delran.
We found the perfect way to help an important cause & celebrate community!
Created by the American Cancer Society.
With this, we can focus on crafts or ideas and fun while the food and entertainment is already being provided! (Well pay for food lol)
My grandmother was a double mastectomy cancer survivor at the age of 29. Her mother had died at 31 from breast cancer as a result of choosing her pregnancy over her own life.
My mother was diagnosed at 33 when I was just a freshman in high school.
Times got so hard, my father suffered a heart attack at 36 on Christmas morning that same year. We were thrown through the ringer. But bounced back with help from the community sports programs we were apart of.
On December 8th 2015, my grandmother lost her SECOND battle with cancer at the young age of 56. She had asked for anything given to be donated to the American Cancer Society, as she believes they truly set out to help those in need.
So I ask you all, to join my team Feminine Protection in this years Superhero themed Relay for Life in Delran, New Jersey on June 3rd, 2017!
4pm- midnight.
THE TEAM DOES NOT HAVE TO RAISE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY.
I truly want no one to donate more than five dollars if you do decide to join me in this healthy productive adventure!
NO ONE is to benefit but the society itself!
This will make us not just be screaming angry women who hate Donald Trump.
But helpful happy women who are going to help others should they be left without insurance during this questioning time in America.
With this, we can put away politics for one day and focus on each other and making the world a better place.
I encourage you to still come even if you can not donate! Please share this day of fun and excitement with me.
I also would love to meet up at a town hall or a luncheon, where we could make little crafts like super hero masks or t-shirts for our team. Take in person donations in case people aren't too computer savvy. And reaffirm why we all joined this group to begin with.
Thank you all, feel free to share!

Count me in, Amber! Just let me know when and where!
I just send a post to nt burl co. Tx
Just a little history lesson, the initial slogan for the nazi party.......'Germany First'. The first legislative moves after hitler became chancellor, were to change the rules of voting in the legislature, and threaten citizenship of minority parties ; sound familiar?
This is scary. You should POST all over the Internet. Hopefully, people will WAKE UP. I heard on radio, the Republicans want to change the constitution.
My account was hacked on facebook, I had to delete everything and change all my financials. One group of Democrats I belonged to was completely destroyed. Facebook doesn't care, your first job is to secure all of your social accounts.
That is really sucky!
"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty"
President Donald Trump kicked the huddled masses to the curb this week, signing off on a hastily implemented, potentially unconstitutional executive order late last Friday that halted travel to the U.S. of more than 200 million people from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
The order also blocks all refugees for 120 days and bans Syrian refugee resettlement indefinitely.
In case the true meaning of the act was lost on anyone, Germany’s Der Spiegel decided to illustrate it and use the graphic metaphor as its magazine cover, set to be published Saturday:

Friends,
It’s been just two weeks since Donald Trump became President, and every day it has gotten clearer that not only do we need to resist his attacks on our communities right now, we also need to build something to sustain this fight for the long haul.
A cornerstone of that fight has to be lifting up a vision that inspires us and gives us hope — a vision of a future the protects our climate, our communities, and our families.
On Monday night, the People’s Climate Movement is hosting a call for everyone who’s interested in building that vision.
Join us Monday, February 6th at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific to discuss how we can build an arc of resistance that culminates in mass action on April 29th. Click here to register.
What: People's Climate Movement Organizing Call
When: Monday, February 6th, 8pm EST/5pm PST
Where: Anywhere you are. Click here to register.
On the call we’ll lay out the arc of resistance we have planned for the next 100 days, talk about the ways that people can get involved building the movement locally, and discuss the plan to join together for mass mobilizations around the country on April 29th, the 100th day of the Trump Administration.
Not sure if the link will work here, but you can google People's Climate movement and it will take you to their site.
I will be at New Born Nurses across from JDR shoe outlet this afternoon around 1:15P. Will call when I'm on my way. We can meet there do you have 2 of them.
I will be there, but closer to 1:30, my daughter gets out of work at 1 (Shoprite on Evesham Road). I do have 2 of them
Thanks, Aleta! I got 2 terrific ones from Adria today.

Just awesome Scottish Trump protest images!
Hilarious! I shared it on FB.
The Moveon.org #Resist Tuesday brought a lot of people out to Senator LoBiondo's May's Landing office today! We were joined by people from Indivisible, and although the Senator is in D.C., we were allowed to meet in a conference room in small groups with a staffer to let him know our complaints, issues of concern, and where he stood on various issues. Some brought letters, which I will do the next time!
They said last week only 6 people attended, but today close to 100 attended today. His office is on Main Street, and people driving by honked, gave us thumbs up and some rolled down their windows and cheered!
We need to keep holding these public servants accountable, and remind them they are supposed to work for US!!
#Resist Tuesdays will take place every week, at various Senator's offices for anyone who wants to join the movement!
Amber will be setting up a meeting for us in the near future, to decide on actions we can take everyone, so stay posted!
If anyone wants a pink pussy hat, please contact me. $10.

I want one...where can I pick it up.
I live in Cherry Hill. If you're close I'm at 305 Mount Carmel Court. If not, we can meet up somewhere. You can call me 856-434-8081
Moveon.org is also meeting at the local office of Sen Menendez in Barrington, NJ...at 12:00.
I think that is the closest to Mount Laurel where I live. Let me know if you need a ride.

Thank you Ruth! Get out and hold our representatives accountable everyone!

Resist Trump Tuesday - Ban Bannon
On Tuesday, January 31st, members of MoveOn.org and allies across the country will rally Democratic and Republican legislators with a clear message: "Stop Trump's #SwampCabinet." At these rallies, part of the growing #ResistTrumpTuesdays movement that brought out 15,000 people last Tuesday, we will tell our members of Congress and the media why Trump's cabinet is not what America wants or needs. Democrats and Republicans alike need to hear from us before this parade of greed and hate is confirmed to a Cabinet that will attack working people, civil liberties, and the environment, while benefiting fellow billionaires and corporations.
We'll also gather at city halls and mayor's offices to demand that our cities and towns stand up for immigrants and declare, in no uncertain terms, #NoBanNoWall.
Will you join fellow MoveOn members and allies and attend your nearest rally?
We are meeting at LoBiondo's office to thank him for his statement on the muslim ban, to ask him to ...

Hello! Thank you all for your openness with response to the "Non-Muslim" Muslim ban lol.
I just had a surgical procedure today and the next few days are recovery. Helen please keep forwarding others responses to me and I am reading the emails. That's a big help!
Also if you and the other theee I emailed can set up a time and location for our first position meetings I would like to get the ball rolling so we can merge our events with the other groups. Many are willing to come to where ever the protest is !!
Thank you all so much for believing in US.
Because this is an US movement.
There is no "i" in TEAM!
Take care of YOU please Amber. We will get on it!
RED ALERT EVERYONE!!!
Direct from the Cheeto-dusted Führer's personal twitter account: He's moving up his Supreme Court nominee announcement to tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31.
I have made my decision on who I will nominate for The United States Supreme Court. It will be announced live on Tuesday at 8:00 P.M. (W.H.)
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 30, 2017
This is scary, but we have some momentum. After weeks of protests and thousands of calls and letters, Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) has promised that he will filibuster any pick that is not Merrick Garland. We need other Democrats to follow his lead. Will you join us in pressuring your Senate Democrat(s) to block and filibuster Trump's Supreme Court nominee?
Call Senator Robert Menendez at (202) 224-4744 and Senator Cory A. Booker at (202) 224-3224. Tell them to oppose and filibuster any Supreme Court nominee.
Sample script:
Hi, I'm (say your name) from (say from where you're calling). Donald Trump plans to nominate a right-wing extremist to the Supreme Court. I am one of the many grassroots supporters that stands opposed to Trump's spiteful, mean-spirited agenda. Democrats cannot allow him to shape this country's policy for the next few decades. Can I count on you to publicly oppose and filibuster any Trump nominee?
PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS!! THIS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE!!
If anyone knows a Syrian, Iranian, etc. green card holder who is stuck outside the US with tickets to return to IAD -- please let Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg know ASAP. He is the Director of the Immigrant Advocacy Program at the Legal Aid Center in Washington, DC.

Moveon,org action for this week:
Contact your Senators, and demand Tillerson testify tomorrow, Monday, whether he supports the Muslim ban.
The same question must be asked when Sessions testifies on Tuesday,
Also, tell your Senators to DEMAND 30 hours of debate for EVERY cabinet nominee or an across the board NO vote.
These actions will be done nation wide, and it is crucial we keep the pressure on, to prevent these horrid cabinet choices!
The ACLU says the peaceful protests have indeed made a difference, and helped them in their effort to get a judge to step in and take action on this Unconstitutional Muslim Ban Executive Order. They are chipping away at it legally, and will be going back to court to continue to fight it.
We make a difference!! We have a fight on our hands, and fight we MUST!

I appreciate your spirit!
We parked at Harrah's casino in Chester. Its name is actually Harrah's Philadelphia. That is not Sugar House. The info on route 37 buses I gave is from Harrah's NOT Sugar House.
Thank you Anthony. I didn't see this until I got home. My friends officially banned me from making any plans that involve public transportation or any travel outside of NJ! We finally figured out that I must have gotten the info wrong. My fault. Ended up parking in long term parking and getting a shuttle.
Just got on the bus. $2.25
Thank you for info. We are leaving for Sugar House now.
That's what the schedule says.
Leaves casino for airport 12:05, 12:55, etc. every 50 min
Does it take you to Arrivals?
It's easy to park and free. Bus is about $2.50 I think.
Cindy and I heading to Phila Intl Airport today. Anticipating traffic and parking difficulty we are going to park at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino (free parking) and take Septa route 37 bus (heading says Broad-Snyder) which drops you at Terminal A. To get back to your car take 37 bus (heading to Chester Trans. Center).
Thank you Anthony. I was wondering where we could park.

My daughter and I will be there, with one of our cousins.
Re: Muslim ban protest:
We are there. Just say when and where.
#TheResistance is fighting back against Trump’s racism. Write your reps and senators urging them to push back on Trump's Muslim ban here [http://bit.ly/2k3SpQD] and call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to be connected as well.
It's very easy. Just click on the link to write to your reps. The site has the letter all written for you. After you enter your location it will bring up your representatives, and the letter to send! Put pressure on Congress to stop this insanity!
Call!! Write!!

Hey everyone!
So very sorry for being quiet this last week. Recuperating and had a lot of doctors appointments. Anyways, I have been in contact with another group called "Indivisible". They had a pretty good backing of people and would like us to be open with about 7 other groups as far as sharing ideas and people.
I want to have the meeting with our people and discussion on possible positions and legal matters to make sure the group is working effectively.
It is much easier for me to keep track of text and email, as this discussion does not give me notifications.

P.s. I want to stage a silent protest for standing with those affected by the "Muslim Ban"
They don't have a voice and I want to show we will not stand for it.

Ready to Resist: Emergency Call #2
Join us Sunday for our next Emergency Call as we plan the next #ResistTrumpTuesdays.
I signed up for the call. I will pass along information.
There is some good information on actions, petitions, etc. at this site.
I just saw a website promoting 10 actions for the next 100 days. The first involves sending postcards to Senators and Representatives.

The more we do , the stronger we get....
Democratsforchange.net
I signed up with Democrats For Change, to see what they are about and what their agenda is.
I agree protesting isn't enough, but it does have an affect, as does calling and writing to our Congress representatives, and showing up at their offices to demand they vote against Trumps scorched earth agenda.
I also agree we have to get more qualified women elected, AND get Democrats to the polls in the midterm elections!
What I feel we need to do is discuss what direction we want to go as a group.
I am all for Francis's idea, to target a vulnerable Republican Congressman, such as LoBiondo. He fairs pretty well voting in environmental issues, but very poorly on women's issues.
We need a strong female candidate to oppose him, and a strong coalition of Democrats to get behind her and work relentlessly to get a Democrat to replace his seat in Congress. Millville, Vineland, and Atlantic City have large populations of Hispanic, Asian (primarily Atlantic city), and African American populations, and we need to be certain to be inclusive.
In order to affect any real change, we need to take back either the House or the Senate. I reside in Atlantic County, and would like to make a suggestion that we team up with the South Jersey Democratic Women's Forum.
A chance to meet other like minded women, make new friends, and spoil your dinner. Please join us for coffee, tea, pot-luck
dessert and the best conversation you have had in a while. We look forward to seeing you

How are people feeling about this?
This is relatively close for me and I would be interested in pursuing this. I believe Cassandra ran for congressperson - D2 several years ago. I don't know her but she is well known in Eastern Atlantic County and Southern Ocean County among Democrats.
Their next meeting is Feb. 20 and I plan to attend. I think this would be a positive direction for those of us from the Sicklerville Women's March looking to do more and a direction for us to go.
I agree, although it may be a long distance for some people. If there are more than a couple of us, I would be willing to touch base and let them know.
The movement by Bernie Sanders is promoting local action. Frankly, I've thought for some time that a third party is needed, but that I believe that that would require coordinated effort over a number of years.
Some food for thought. I posted this on my Facebook page...
Since the Saturday march, there seems to be a lot of interest in effecting change. The number of Facebook pages is increasing exponentially and several grassroots groups have cropped up. But I wonder how this is all going to play out.
Having worked with and for volunteer organizations, I know that it is difficult to maintain people's enthusiasm. And the nuts and bolts of organizing and sustaining a group are difficult to deal with.
So I'm posing a question here - not an alternative approach, but a complementary approach.
The Democratic party is an entrenched and powerful entity. Like the Republican party, it is run primarily by political bosses. When confronting the Tea Party/Republicans, they often tend to be timid and they try to assuage their center. (Remember Harry Truman's quote which went something like this - Given the choice between a Republican and a Democrat acting as a Republican, voters will invariably choose the true Republican).
But it doesn't have to be that way. What if the energy untapped by Saturday's events was focused on fixing the Democratic party? Making it a true progressive party and moving it to the left? If all of the grassroots energy that I've seen on Facebook were directed to that end, the party would be in much better shape. In other words, "Make the Democratic Party Great Again!" and use the infrastructure and resources that are already in place to advance a progressive agenda.
What do you think?
I support that strategy. Afterall, constant protesting is only going to take us so far without some political will behind the effort. I am concerned however, that if we go this route, how we get tapped into the party at the right level to effectuate change.
Join your local town's party. If there's a vacancy on the county committee in your district, your municipal chair can appoint you to that position. The next election for county committee will be at the June 2018 primary. You typically only need a handful of signatures on the petition to get on the ballot. Once you're on the committee, express yourself. Be a thorn in the side of the entrenched old guard. Run for office. Set your sights high but recognize that most start at the bottom - run for school board or town council. Learn how to run for office by attending this event:
http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu/education_training/ready_to_run/2017-ready-run-nj
That's just a start. But you have to start somewhere.
Agreed! Thanks for this resource. I've been reading about how to do just that!
This^ 'protesting is only going..so far without political will', ...We protested the war and nixon until we bled, there was no political direction. There are 3 republicans in South Jersey, smith, lobiondo and macarthur. Smith is unbeatable with the anti-abortion gang funding. The other 2 can be beaten when they vote with trump and are exposed. The new leaders are planning rallies at their offices. Women must be in the leadership positions.
Agree that formal action is important, but this is different than the Vietnam war. Most of the people who were protesting then were in High School or college and could not even vote (went from age 21 to 18 in 1971). In the current situation, those concerned are multi generational and most are of voting age.
Those 18-21 year olds were being drafted and killed, I think they had a little more skin in the game than voting. The point of the comment is effective protests.
In fairness to everyone, prefer not to assume a position. I will work on a meeting place and date. Chair/Co-chairs selection or volunteers can be one of the agenda items.
I'm online now filling out request for meeting room at library. Appreciate input on couple application questions:
My Group is: Nonprofit Mt Laurel Community Group or Nonprofit Out of Town Group
My Group is: Informative Educational Cultural Civic
Group Name? _____________________________
Thanks
Agreed. Please keep us posted.
Hey I texted and emailed you. Are you alright lol?
Lolita if you are able to set up a date and time for a meeting, that would be awesome. Since Amber is recouping we can get the ball rolling for her. Whatever you call it I think would be fine with everyone. We can make more decisions at the meeting. Amber does not get e mail notification when we post here so, possibly you can e mail her as well when you can get us a date and time for a meeting?
Thank you!
My e mail address is dsdu19@aol.com
We really can't assume anything as this site was made for the march. Of course we would love to have Amber's great spirit but if not, I'm sure that there are a lot more who would consider it. The first thing that really needs to happen is that this discussion should be moved to another venue. The way these messages are posted, if you don't pick up every post then you really miss a lot of information. Any opinions on a better way to communicate?
Since most folks work, I will try reserving the library for the earliest Sunday possible. Let me know of other locations open on Sunday and I will check availability.
I would like to help organize a local group/chapter.
Excellent Lolita! How about setting up a meeting date and location! Thank you for stepping up!
That's terrific. It's a lot of work organizing a group(just ask Amber LOL). You're going to need help, so I would suggest that you put it out there for anyone else who would like to co-chair with you before you set a meetup date. This is just a suggestion. If you already have experience and want to go solo then that's fine of course.
There always has to be a first step. I will help in any way I can. Since Amber is the host of this site, I think she would work with you to get this going......say yes Amber?
I agree. I think the first objective would be to ask if there is/are any people currently in this group that want to step into a position of leadership at least to help get this group organized.
Thanks for feedback Annette. Agree with strength in numbers. Participating with an organized existing group would work for me; if the existing group isn't local would like to see a chapter/group formed.
We resist.
We build.
We rise.
April 29th 2017
Washington DC
Join the People’s Climate Movement this April 29th in Washington, D.C. and across the country to stand up for our communities and climate.
Throughout the first 100 days in office, the People's Climate Movement is organizing a country-wide arc of action, culminating on April 29th in Washington DC in a powerful mobilization to unite all of our movements. To change everything, we need everyone
Why we’re marching
There is no denying it: Donald Trump’s election is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families.
This new administration is attacking the hard-won protections of our climate, health, and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA, young people, and more.
If the policies he proposed on the campaign trail are implemented, they will destroy our climate, decimate our jobs and livelihoods, and undermine the civil rights and liberties won in many hard fought battles.
Let's march April 29! Time to organize! May I suggest Amber set up a meeting and invite other activist groups to attend, and see if we can possibly come up with a unified group?
Good idea Lola, but I think the question that Karen posted needs to be expanded on a little. Do we want to form our own group or join a group that already exists, and perhaps become a local chapter. I'm not sure how it would work, but the thing that I am noticing is that there are a lot of marchers right now that want to organize but that takes a strong commitment of time. I'm hearing from a lot of sources that this movement has to somehow join together, and focus all of our efforts to actually effect change. There is more strength in numbers. The group that Karen mentioned has been organizing since the election and has really grown in size and is very organized. I'm sure that there are others as well. If anyone would like to suggest other established groups then individuals could decide where they would like to go. If this group decides to form their own movement then that would be an option as well. I'd like to hear what you all think of these options.
Congratulations to all who participated in yesterday's protest!
Here's a meeting suggestion: Set a general meeting to decide key issues such as: 2018 Elections, Heathcare, Taxes (decide as a group). Form focus groups for each issues. Focus groups break into individual session to strategize next steps including a group representative, contact list, meeting dates, and share few thoughts (set time limit). Meet back as general group to set next meeting; providing each focus group time to meet and set a written plan.
Just a thought?
Are most people here part of south jersey women for progressive change? They seemed very organized and meet once a month.
I myself am not familiar with the group, but I know the host, Amber, has mentioned other groups expressing interest in working together. I firmly believe strength in numbers!
Hi! I just joined them on Facebook today. The women are posting and sharing a lot of great ideas and action items, it has been very useful! Someone just posted a link for a "Ready to Resist Emergency Call" with MoveOn.org. The call is taking place this Sunday, January 29th at 8:00pm. I think you can click either of these links to sign up: https://act.moveon.org/survey/readytoresist or www.moveon.org/readytoresist. They have over 4,600 members on Facebook - it might be a great opportunity to merge our efforts with like-minded groups in our area and expand the network of people that want to take effective action in a cohesive way.
Thank you Kayla for the link and info. I signed up also, and I agree, having groups merge and work together makes what we do much more powerful!
I think we should all check it out. They organized the day after the election and already have committees and chairwomen appointed. Meetings scheduled well into the summer. I think we should decide if ther bylaws and agenda is the one we ALL want to proceed with. I do agree with annette that perhaps a closed or a secret FB page could be a consideration to keep away the trolls. It would be by invitation only. I think we need Amber's thoughts here. I'm ready to help as much as possible.
I welcome all because we have to show that we will not turn ANYONE away. That we are standing strong and love will prevail. I do have an "in" with one of the people behind the south Jersey progressive group and their meetings. Just complex to get all the groups wanting us to schedule!
I also am working with Indivisible NOW and should have some more members of the groups.
I went to Philly Thursday to protest. This was my first protest and plan to continue protesting the president.
Thank you Sophronia!
I was there as well, and will be protesting, calling my representatives, and fighting, as we all must! RESIST..... organize, and let our voices be heard!
Hey guys! Sorry I've been pretty quiet as I'm more FB active. I have a few organized grassroots and others that want to possibly combine to help the cause. Seeing as we all have the same senators and governor. Took me a couple days to recoup even though I was pretty still. Thank you all for trusting and believing in me! We will continue to move forward. Don't forget to email me if you need ANYTHING!
Strength in numbers Amber! Reach out if there is anything I can be of help with!
I've contacted Emily's List to challenge Lobiondo and Macarthur, two 'do nothing' republicans in Districts 2 & 3. It's Blue Jersey, how the hell do these mugs keep getting elected in South Jersey! Please support Emily's List, they are recruiting and training women candidates all over the country. They are the best women's political organization since the Suffragists! http://www.emilyslist.org/
On January 26, Donald Trump and every Republican member of the House and Senate will gather in Philadelphia. They’re meeting for the first time since the inauguration. And they’ll be laying the groundwork for their extreme agenda.
They’ve made it clear what their top priorities are. Gutting our environmental protections. Taking away our health care to provide tax cuts for their rich friends. Undermining our basic civil rights protections.
So we need you to show up and fight back.
What: Rally at the Republican House and Senate Retreat
When: Thursday, January 26th at 11 am
Where: Thomas Paine Plaza, Philadelphia
On Saturday, more than a million people across the U.S. took to the streets as part of the Women’s March. From across the political spectrum, we came together to say NO to Trump and his hostile administration. We’re building momentum in the fight to stop his attacks on people and the planet.
But this is only the beginning. Now we need to take the next step. Stopping Trump is going to take more than marching in the streets. It’s going to take forcing our decision-makers to do the right thing -- and holding them accountable when they don’t.
That’s why this week, Friends of the Earth members in 41 cities delivered letters to Congressional district offices demanding that their Representatives stand up to Trump. Now, we need you to echo their demands.
That’s why this week, Friends of the Earth members in 41 cities delivered letters to Congressional district offices demanding that their Representatives stand up to Trump. Now, we need you to echo their demands.
In order to prevent the worst, we need Republicans in the House and Senate to step up. Now, while they’re all gathered in one place, you can help push them to do that.

I will be going to the rally in Philly tomorrow. I can take 3 or 4 passengers.
my email is dsdu19@aol.com
Please remember, as long as you speak up you may change someone's world. Do not engage forcefully and try tombs understanding.
If you notes on the FB page South Jersey Stands Together a young man commented a very heated opinion towards the page. I had a long conversation about him which turned him him into an ally not enemy. He most likely would have supported Bernie Sanders if he had been DNC candidate. We find the Trump voter regretters would have adopted Bernies views. Please try to keep the movement one of peace and knowledge. All I did was explain facts to him.
One option is to contact the organizers of other nearby sister marches to find out whether they are working on assembling a group for Philadelphia.
I got an email about the Philadelphia protest from SJ Citizens for Change to this link:

There's a discussion board so maybe that might be helpful.
PEACE my Sisters/Brothers #resistance
"Red To Blue"... ALL politics are local! First you have to understand that the ideologues in this administration can't be dealt with, They Must Be Blocked or Removed. Our next opportunity to change Congress is not far away, Nov. 6, 2018, in 650 days we can stop their entire agenda by taking back just one house of Congress. We find the most vulnerable Red Reps in NJ and focus on removing them.. Realizing the Democratic Senate must defend 18 seats in '18, the House is the best chance for change. Historically the election after one party takes over is the oppositions best chance. We contact the party for assistance in targeting The Red Coats. Another advantage is the Women's Movement, we can control any election by unifying women, especially young women who haven't had the experience in the importance of elections. College age women are one prime demo for change, we should rally at college campuses, college towns on weekends. We can form our own political committee that isn't predicated on money. Who wants to set a meeting next month to begin a political action committee to focus our resources? Does any one have ideas on how to use Action Network resources for this agenda? For starters, here is one of the most 'do nothing' congressmen in history... https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/frank_lobiondo/400244/report-card/2016
Would Mt. Laurel library work? Their meeting room holds 50 people
I would 100% be behind this. Make the reservation and I will post to all that attended and the page.
Thank You Lolita, excellent suggestion, much of our base appears to be in this area! Of course, as we saw with the rally, numbers grow and we don't want to exclude anyone. Our first task is to set a date, I imagine weekends are preferable, and time of day should avoid interfering with parenting duties. Excluding SB weekend we have Sat or Sun 2/11 or 12; 2/18/ or 19. I imagine Sunday, late afternoon to avoid Sat. activity and Sun. church. I'm a little out of touch on this, my son is 38, and this definitely needs women's insight to focus on the details.
http://www.mtlaurel.lib.nj.us/about/hours-locations The library weekend hours; Sat. 9:30-5:00, Sun. 12 to 5.
As a back up, in case the numbers grow, union halls are a good alternative.
Mount Laurel Senior Center has rooms that can hold 50, 100, 150 and 200...in case you need more room.
Did anyone contact Mt. Laurel Republicans or Burlington County Republicans for suggestions?
OMG....I have been hearing so much about Republicans on TV that I wrote the wrong word....I mean, of course, and Democrat organizations in the area. It seems to me they are not very active but maybe we could spur them to action...
LOL! We knew that! Great suggestion!
Thank You Ruth! We need a viable response before making contact, their first question will be; how many? You have to show numbers to elicit resources.
On January 26, Trump and every Republican member of Congress and the Senate will gather in Philadelphia to meet for the first time since inauguration to plan their 2017 agenda.
SHOW UP. TAKE ACTION. TOGETHER, RESIST THEIR AGENDA. RESIST THEIR FIRST ATTACK -- ON OUR HEALTH CARE.
We, the people, stand together to resist their cynical agenda of greed, hate, and division.
Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, and their billionaire friends have revealed their first act: take away our health care to provide tax cuts for their rich friends.
We commit to take non violent direct action to resist any attempts to take away our healthcare.
Erin Kramer · Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Helen--We are working hard to nail down the details, including a permit for Thomas Paine Plaza, in center city. We will gather there, hold a brief program highlighting those individuals who are most affected by steps to repeal the ACA, and revoke DACA, then we will march to the hotel where Republican leaders are meeting and conspiring to take those things from us in order to, peacefully and non violently, confront their unified government with our own unified dissent. Please join us if you can.
I will post more info when Erin gets back to me. I will be driving and if anyone wants to carpool, I can take 3 or 4 people.
I entered our Sicklerville March numbers in this study but I do not twitter, so I did not send pictures, but we are counted!

Go to the link I posted above, and in the third paragraph click on the collecting data link and scroll down to Sicklerville, and you will see we are counted.
I do not twitter, so I did not send them pictures, but it can be edited and pictures added!
I just looked at the spreadsheet and Barbra Dreyfus did twitter a picture of everyone on the hill! Thank you Barbara!
if you scroll to the end of the spreadsheet, it even counts Sister Marches in other countries. Very cool!
In response to request for anyone who attended the Sicklerville rally, I personally know that two people from Pleasantville attended.
Thank you for clarifying. I'm getting so many texts from so many different directions that it's getting confusing
Per a text from Michael Bittner, I believe the rally in Barrington scheduled for today is cancelled.
Text COUNT ME to 89800 then full out the survey to add your attendance to the overall head count for Saturday!
I'm confused...what exactly does "COUNT ME" refer to and what event is happening on Saturday?
The DC rally. They are trying to gather info on how many people were at sister events like ours in Sicklerville
Sicklerville rally on Jan 21
Is there a gathering today in Barrington NJ today? If so, time and location.
We're SO so so inspired by the energy, commitment and passion we witnessed at the Women's Marches all over the country this weekend! And now we urgently need to mobilize that energy towards stopping Trump's dangerous agenda--the Trump administration just announced plans to gut the Department of Justice's Violence Against Women programs.1
President Trump wants to immediately begin cutting funding for hundreds of local rape crisis centers,2 the National Domestic Violence Hotline--which has served almost 4 million people3--and sexual assault response training for hundreds of thousands of law enforcement officials.4 Since the programs were created, intimate partner violence has decreased 67%, and more people are reporting sexual violence and getting the support they need.5 Gutting these programs will literally cost women their lives.
Luckily, Trump can't do this alone. Congress needs to approve these cuts--if we can shut down the streets in cities across the country we can--we must-- speak out and push our elected leaders to stop these cuts.
Our fight has only just begun against scorched earth menace Trump! Stay fired up everyone!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2017/01/23/trump-freezes-federal-hiring/?tid=sm_fb&utm_term=.725ca5b8fe8f
President Trump issued an executive order Monday freezing federal hiring. The hiring freeze excludes national security employees.
The plan excludes the “military, public safety, and public health.”
News of the executive order drew immediate fire from the largest federal employee union.
“President Trump’s action will disrupt government programs and services that benefit everyone and actually increase taxpayer costs by forcing agencies to hire more expensive contractors to do work that civilian government employees are already doing for far less,” said American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox Sr. “This hiring freeze will mean longer lines at Social Security offices, fewer workplace safety inspections, less oversight of environmental polluters, and greater risk to our nation’s food supply and clean water systems.”
What does this do to "make America Great again"???? Trump's scorched earth agenda is beyond reason or comprehension! We need to keep fighting!
Rachel Taylor
Rachel Taylor Let Speaker Paul Ryan know how you feel about ACA. Call one of these two numbers:
(202) 225-0600 or (202) 225-3031
The prompts will begin and press #2 to weigh in on the issue. You will have to listen to their statement but hang on, then press #1 to continue supporting the Affordable Care Act. There is even an option to leave Ryan a voice message ??
This works, I successfully called this morning. Lines may be busy but keep at it. This is life or death for some people.
RACHAEL MADDOW CAME THROUGH FOR US AGAIN
this is disgusting &a disturbing.
https://youtu.be/9TyUKOWYP-4
Trump is a con man and a fake! Rachel is awesome and got the PROOF Trump hired actors to pretend they were supporters! Thank you for sharing, Amber!
I worked in the AC casino business for 30 years, and I know people who worked for Trump, and there is no boundary on how low he will go..............the man lacks morals, decency, and a soul. Plain and simple!
Thank you Amber and hats off to Rachael Maddow I like the tax day march
Thought I would share this with our SUPER organizer Amber............and all!
Let's plan a nationwide #DivestDonald and #showusyourtaxes protest for Saturday, April 15
Jennifer Taub @jentaub
People are responding to idea for a Tax Day "show us your taxes" action. We will have paid our taxes by that day. Seems ripe for action https://twitter.com/jentaub/status/823243227109195778 …
Full of momentum after a historic turnout for the women’s rights marches across the nation, which saw nearly 2 million people across the nation in the streets, anti-Trump elements are quickly planning their next big show of protest. Aiming to force Trump to release his tax returns, the next big anti-Trump rallies are being planned for April 15th.
Traditionally the day that taxes are due (since it falls on a Saturday this year, tax day is the 18th), the rallies are set to show the White House that, contrary to the remarks made by White House spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway, people do in fact care about his tax returns. Yesterday, Conway declared that Trump would not be releasing his taxes, breaking with long-established tradition and showing their disdain for ethics and public accountability.
Law professor Jennifer Taub is credited with the idea, which has been quickly gaining steam on social media.
I absolutely LOVE this idea, I'm going to try and get us involved.
I was hoping you would!!!
Rather than drive into Philadelphia, I suggest the Patco high-speed line which leaves you roughly a four block walk from the site of the gathering, or any number of New Jersey transit buses from South Jersey which terminate at the Greyhound station which is also about a four block walk.
I don't want to go alone. Just for safety reasons :(
I would feel much safer going with a group also, Amber. I am willing to drive and can take 3 or 4 passengers. If someone is good at navigating the area that would be great!

Resistance in Philly: Fighting for our Lives
On January 26, Trump and every Republican member of Congress and the Senate will gather in Philadelphia to meet for the first time since inauguration to plan their 2017 agenda.
SHOW UP. TAKE ACTION. TOGETHER, RESIST THEIR AGENDA. RESIST THEIR FIRST ATTACK -- ON OUR HEALTH CARE.

Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, and their billionaire friends have revealed their first act: take away our health care to provide tax cuts for their rich friends.
We commit to take non violent direct action to resist any attempts to take away our healthcare.
And whatever is next on their agenda of greed and hate, whether it’s deporting our neighbors or building a racist registry – that will also not work. We will continue to stand together, resist, and win.
When we struggle together, we win. We are the people, and this is our country.
I don't know Philly well, and am perpetually lost once I get off Rt#76 or #95, but I am thinking to go. If anyone else is going and wants to carpool, let me know. my e mail addy is:

Thank you Amber, for passing this info along!
No problem! I can't wait. Thanks for posting on discussion board :)
I have sent along some questions to One Pittsburgh, such as are there any concrete plans, any permit, etc., and will post any new information and details should they be forthcoming.

Hey, amber. Thanks again for organizing yes. Might wax curious what you were planning to do with the cards about why we march.
Mail them individually to the White House. Will have to open each one by one

This is the link to the Burlington County Times video!
Watched all the Sunday shows today. Priebus and Conway looked a little rattled at the amount of people who participated yesterday. What do you think. Wishful thinking on my part? The whole "didn't we just have an election" talking point made me laugh. You became president with 47%, 10 million voters didn't vote for you. Did you think we would just go away?
Thanks again all for being there yesterday. We were a part of history and we can make history again together. Let's make trump the 3rd president to be impeached.
YES!!!
Check FB. You're in the Burlington County Times video of the rally
I still have a bottle of champagne in the fridge, that I had planned to open election night...........now that would be cause for me to finally pop the cork on it, and celebrate the #3!!
I was needing that Women's March Saturday! It gave me great hope, and even more so when I saw people all over the world were marching with us!
Haha, I started my diet last week but now I'm really going to amp it up! Who is that woman??? BTW, Amber looked beautiful! I'm so happy to have been there. :)
You all looked beautiful and amazing to me! Oh and a side note..............Francis you are a very GOOD public speaker.............check out the video!
Dear Sister Helen; Thank You So Much, I hadn't seen that! It's a good thing they cut out the part where I was shaking my fist and ranting about the right wing cabal...
Too funny Francis.........I would have loved to see that! That is EXACTLY why I try not to speak publicly..........cause I start our okay........and then it evolves into a raving RANT!
I thought it was eloquent, actually.
Amber, I entered the Sicklerville Women's March count information in the study I had mentioned in an earlier post, so our numbers can be counted. I also passed along your contact information. They are trying to get as accurate a count as they can of every registered Women's March number of participants They asked for a high and low estimate, so I posted 200 to 250. That estimate can be edited if needed.
Thank you again for such a great job organizing!
Thank you for doing that, much appreciated:)
More than happy to do anything I can to help our cause!
I am so impressed by your knowledge of politics, and your organizing and leadership skills. You brought a lot of people together who needed to join with others to feel they are not alone, and there is hope!
Thank you again, Amber! Next time, call me, I'll pitch in!
I will there are more meetings coming up

Thank you Gina!
Amber I hope you finally got some sleep! Thought I would pass this info along.
WASHINGTON ― In what may wind up being the biggest single-day demonstration in American history, millions of women and men took to the streets around the country Saturday to call for gender equality and express opposition to the Trump administration. How many millions is an open question.
Two professors are hoping to answer it, and you can help by sending in verifiable evidence of crowd sizes in your town or city
Erica Chenoweth of the University of Denver and Jeremy Pressman of the University of Connecticut are overseeing the collection. Send them any info you’ve got on Twitter, and include whatever backup documentation exists. If you have a photo that wasn’t published anywhere, tweet it yourself and send that link.

I looked at their spreadsheet and Sicklerville NJ is # 439, listed but no info as of yet. This link can be used to submit the count information. I hope this helps!

Amber, do you have a final head count for yesterday? A number of sources are compiling lists and Sicklerville doesn't have any numbers listed.
Estimated around 210

Could you post that info at this link Amber ?
Just wanted to thank u Amber & everyone who attended today .... yesterday I spent most of the day nauseous, upset & defeated
Today I felt empowered hopeful & excited .... to see old-young, black-white, male-female, straight-gay all united, expressing how America is ours & advocating with our voices & our signs what we are passionate about
Then to come home & watch all the marches breaking records around the world - all peaceful - all represented by the diversity of America
I go to bed tonight exited for our futures
Stay engaged, stay vocal, stand up, suit up - it's time to get to work!!!
I share the same sentiments, Kim! Thank you Amber, and thank you everyone who attended today. I feel so inspired and encouraged and empowered through this experience today, and the images of marches taking place all across our country and our world! I look forward to keeping this conscious action going on a local level with all of you. Thank you again Amber for creating a space and a forum for this to happen!
Thank you both for attending and making history. Anything big or small is still an action to fight for what's right!
Thank you Amber for organizing today!
So well said Kim!! We have the passion, compassion, determination and resources to keep our country great and ever moving forward. Unfortunately Donald Trump won the electoral vote and is now the President of the United States but he didn't win the popular vote and we can't allow him to divide our wonderful country. Now is the time for action because 2018 mid term elections will be here before we know it. We, with all our diversity of thought and experiences, are stronger together! We need to understand those that supported President Trump, determine the weaknesses of the Republicans in Congress up for (re-)election in 2018, get out into the communities, write letters to those in congress and flip the majority back to the Democrats and liberal minded folks. Game on!!
Be counted for your efforts today.
Text the words COUNT ME to 89800
Thank you!!
Steve, my text didn't go thru. Count me!
Blue Jersey covered it well, too. Thanks again Amber for all your hard work in bringing us together. http://www.bluejersey.com/2017/01/the-sicklerville-seven/ http://www.bluejersey.com/2017/01/ordinary-people-doing-extraordinary-things/
oops double posted.... sorry bout that ...
It's okay! You're excited!! Thank you
Here's the second video from today. I call it the Sicklerville Seven because it features seven of today's great speakers.
http://www.bluejersey.com/2017/01/the-sicklerville-seven/
If you missed the video I posted with Amber earlier, here is the link:
http://www.bluejersey.com/2017/01/ordinary-people-doing-extraordinary-things/
Both videos were OUTSTANDING! Thank you so much for given us the platform to share our voices!!
Congratulations to Amber and all who attended today's rally. While I was with you all in spirit, I attended the Rally/March in Trenton. The turnout was great! It was wonderful to see families, babies in strollers, men and women, the young and young at heart. My hope is we continue to let our voices be heard from this day forth. We may not be able to march/rally every day or every month, nevertheless we can stay actively involved through this network, emails, texts, Facebook or whatever communication vehicle works best for you. Lets continue to lift each other up because a Win for One is a Win for All! Lolita
This should become an annual event, leading up to the 100th anniversary of the date that women gained the right to vote.
Just an idea, maybe a viewing of the movie, Suffragette?
Amber you did an amazing job. And, the Burlington County Times covered it nicely. http://www.burlingtoncountytimes.com/news/local/gallery-women-s-march-participants-gather-in-south-jersey-too/collection_80cbb43e-e034-11e6-9205-87566505b3f3.html PEACE and LOVE to all
Thank you so much for sharing!
Way to go everybody.
The trolling of President Donald Trump has already begun.
A petition on the White House website demanding the release of Trump’s tax returns exceeded the 100,000-signature threshold needed for an official response less than 24 hours after Trump’s inauguration.
The petition, created by an anonymous American with the initials A.D., asks the federal government to explain what it is doing to “immediately release Donald Trump’s full tax returns, with all information needed to verify emoluments clause compliance.”
Thank you to all who signed!!
Thank you Amber, and all who attended and spoke! You made me feel more hopeful! We have only just begun.....
Thanks so much , Amber, for organizing today's beautiful event. I appreciate your courage, love, & strength & that you were able to provide us with an experience that renewed hope!
Thank you so much for coming !
Do we have an instagram hashtag for pictures we took today?
No we don't but you can add them to the FB page South Jersey Stands Together
Is there a Facebook page or is someone making one? I did hear someone mention this at the March.
Yes South Jersey Stands Together is the page
I can't find the pafe. Is it a secret group?
My apologies, Amber. I noticed I misspelled your name. In the process of correcting the video now.
Video featuring Amber is here: http://www.bluejersey.com/2017/01/ordinary-people-doing-extraordinary-things/
I'll have video of the speakers up a bit later today.
Thank you, Amber for all the work you did!
Thank you Steve for capturing it! Can't wait for the others. Great editing!!
We raised $192 dollars for the GC Community Park!
Thank you all for the help!
It was wonderful. Check Burlington County Times soon!
Had a delay / mild car issue on the drive over. Will be there by noon unfortunately. Where should I go once I arrive ?
There are a bunch in lot 5 setting up. Close to the bathrooms, too.
A number of us are parked in Lot 8
In Sicklerville, do we have an actual meeting place? I see people driving around but I do not see a group anywhere. Please advise.
We are in lot 8
Vergi, if I'm not too late reaching you. I would be happy to drive you. Call me at 609 707-4213.
I'm sorry when I posted yesterday about going to Mount Laurel that this would create such an issue. Will try to get over to Sicklerville instead.
I'm at Sicklerville (Gloucester Township Park). Big place! Is there a specific spot or lot we're meeting in?
AMEN! I couldn't have said it better.
President Donald Trump, hours after taking office, instructed the agency overseeing Obamacare to interpret some of the law’s regulations loosely ― in ways that could undermine it even before Congress gets around to repealing it.
The executive order, which Trump signed in the Oval Office shortly after viewing the inaugural parade on Friday, was one of his first acts of president.
And yet ANOTHER reason why I march today! He just couldn't wait to start undoing the good President Obama accomplished in office..........
I will be wearing purple in honor of the suffragettes who relentlessly fought for women's right to vote! The fight is on to hold on to so many rights we have fought for that this man is determined to take away!
He is NOT my president!
Hi dear Sally,
That is perfectly ok with me. More than grateful to come back with you
See you at 10.50 am
Thanks a lot
Blessings❤
Vergi, just an FYI: I will have my 11-year-old son with me. He has a hockey game this afternoon. I don't know how long we will be able to stay, or how long the rally will last. If we end up leaving before it is over, you are welcome to join us for the ride back or you may need to find alternate transportation. I hope this does not inconvenience you too much. See you in a few hours.
Dear Amber,
You are such a noble sweet soul.
We are blessed to have you
Cant wait to hug you
Sweet dreams to all
Love, light, peace and blessings❤❤❤❤
Almost 60,000 on the White House petition. I wonder when they'll hit the delete button!
Perfect. I will be at the Mealy's Furniture parking lot.at 10.50 am
I will out with my sign.
Have a blessed night .Cant wait to meet you
MIllion Thanks ?❤❤
Actually, the Macy's/Lenola Rd side. Ideally, you would be in the Mealey's Furniture parking lot. I have a silver Honda Pilot...probably @10:50. I look forward to meeting you and joining the women tomorrow.
Thank you dear Sally. What an angel
It is perfect . At what time do you want me to be at the Moorestown Mall
You want me to be at Boscovs , the site that faces route 38. Is that ok for you .
Blessings❤?
Vergi, I will be coming from Moorestown...volunteering at the high school in the AM, then picking up my 11 year old and heading down. Could you meet me near the mall...which is close to my home? Then we could hop on 295 S?
Thank you so much dear.
Love and blessings❤??
Hi Amber,
I dear Amber I do appreciate greatly your amazing dedication , your passion and sensitivity . Many thanks for all that you have been doing
I have few friends that were coming with me but had choosen to go to Phila .
I still want to go to Sicklerville . have my sign ready and I am looking forward tomorrow.
My car is acting up and I am concern to drive far . Is there anyone that live in Mount Laurel or Marlton that I can get to ride with. . I am 2' from Laurel C. , 5' away from Whole Foods , 10' from Trader Joe's I feel comfortable driving a short distance and meeting a good soul in either location ( also at Moorestown Mall) ..ONly if is possible..
So sorry for asking but I really want to be present .
MIllion thanks,
Blessings ?❤❤?
I
Thanks so much! I hope you will be there. Hopefully someone will be able to help you from the message board.
Amber, you should get ge proud of the turnout you've inspired. My son and I are happy to make the extra drive, and I hope anyone else who is able will do so. Please, everyone , do what is best for the message, even if a little inconvenient.
Thank you gina, very kind words.
Stop answering them Amber. Welcome new people; anyone else who has a question can find the answer on this blog. I am happy to follow your lead wherever you want me to go. I want to tell Trump and the Republicans that we are not to be ignored either. Trump has maligned the power people of Washington but has joined them with gusto. He has already started going against my beliefs in science, education, global warming, immigrants, our standing in the world, and who knows what else; all this in less than 1/2 a day. Let's march tomorrow and as many days as necessary to let him and Congress know that women will no longer stay home, wear house dresses, iron and clean the ovens.
See you soon.
Thank you Ruth! Just some the things he already did today in less than eight hours has bothered me! I'll see you tomorrow
THIS MOVEMENT THAT I CREATED IS AT SICKLERVILLE. No protection, nor approval, is covering that location anymore. I totally understand those who seriously can not make it, but choosing to go there over Sicklerville undermines what I have spent the last three days and nights working on. If there is nothing superseding or after the rally, everyone should make the effort to drive an extra 24 minutes to where the speakers and event will be. I'm sorry if I come off harsh in any way, I'm just a little upset by that. Makes my efforts feel stepped on over comfort of the location.
Amber is absolutely correct. If people split off to go to the other park then there is no way of keeping track of the number and that park is not approved beyond a certain number of people. Also, there will not be any police protection. Please don't be naive and think that there are not going to be supporters from the opposition that will try and disrupt or even pick fights with many of the rally goers. We may not be targeted but there is no guarantee.
It's perfectly fine like I said I don't want to come off harsh or anything
Ok. Understood. Certainly no offense meant in any way! Your efforts extremely appreciated. My confusion originated from not having the entire story(location change due to more attendees-is fantastic!!) news piece which alerted me noted mt laurel. I will not go to mt laurel.
I believe all of us here have the same intentions to share in the energy of this Women's March with the presence of others coming together for the same cause, and contribute to the positive impact it can make. To use our peaceful, intentional, and powerful presence to shift the energy and consciousness right along with the sister marchers in Washington and stand for positive change (even if we cannot attend that march or even this one). Of course, my own intentions are and have been to do everything I can to attend this event in Sicklerville. However (given that I have an appointment tomorrow and I am not sure when I will be done) if I cannot make it, my love and positive intentions will be with all of you there (as well as all those marching across the country and world) no matter where I am. Thank you Amber for creating this event in our area (I was so happy to find a sister march so close to home), and thank you for all those that have posted here and are coming together with kindness, compassion, and a drive toward conscious action in our local community - not just this weekend, but for the years of conscious action that we will need to continue taking ahead. Thank you to all! Hope to see you tomorrow!
I can be at laurel acres park in Mt laurel. 11:30?
I would love to be at the event with the large group in Sicklerville, but I have an appointment beforehand and I don't know if I will be able to make it in time (depends on when I get done!). However, I want to share this experience in some way, and Laurel Acres park is right around the corner for me - if I can't make it to the Sicklerville march, I would love to walk in Mount Laurel right after my appointment if a small group is still meeting up.
I would like to meet people at Laurel Acres park rather than Sicklerville. Anybody going there instead?
I'm confused, but want to march! Clicked link for a march in MT. Laurel, but was directed to this Sicklerville page. Is this correct? Is there a gathering in Mt Laurel?? Thanks.
The location had to be changed to Sicklerville, Nina, due to a larger number of people than the Mount Laurel location could accommodate.
The original park was out grown. That was approved for 150 people. We are now at 440 people so we had to move the location to Sicklerville
FRANCIS MCMASTERS if you don't stop donating!! Hahahha You have donated more than your fair share and as much as I would ask 50 people too!! Appreciated seriously though...
Your dedication and inspiration is PRICELESS! The New Jersey map for rallies was barren until you stepped up and taught us that one person can make the difference. You should be in the Citizens Hall of Fame!
Wow your words are amazing! Thank you for rallying behind me!!
Donald Trump has been President for only a few hours. But he’s already started attacking our environment.
One of his first acts was to take down the White House’s website on climate change and replace it with an “energy plan.” The plan says Trump “is committed to eliminating” the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the US rule. Rumors are flowing that approval of Keystone XL and Dakota Access could be next.
This is just the beginning. Trump has announced his intentions. If we let him get away with it, what’s next? Gutting the EPA? Drilling for oil on our public lands in the Arctic?
And so it begins...........the scorched earth agenda of this menace!
Just ONE REASON why I will march!
This is the tip of the iceberg, and we're the band playing on the deck of the Titanic. We have 2 years before we can take back the Congress. Our children's future is being threatened, like President Obama said, "We are the one's we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek"!
What we and our fellow "sister" marchers are doing tomorrow will send a message to Congress that we are not playing around. If they support Drumfp, then we will remove them. Congress needs to take us seriously. HELL HATH NO FURY AS THAT OF A WOMAN SCORNED!!!
Check out the White House petition web site. Need 100,000 signatures requesting DJT to release tax returns.
We The People petition
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov
Immediately release Donald Trump's full tax returns, with all information needed to verify emoluments clause compliance.
please.........pass this to everyone you know!
Thank you for the info Deborah!
I'm getting an error message signing up, I'll try again later. If they cut it off, I'll file a complaint.
I signed it!
It's signed :-) Thanks for sharing this!
I think it would be lovely if people brought small flags to hold if they won't be holding a sign. We all love this country.
Excellent idea!
Thank you all for this open conversation! I let the Operators of the Laurel Acres Park that the venue was changed to the Sicklerville one. Trust me, I live in Marlton five minutes away from Laurel acres and would love to be there! But the sheer numbers just would not be safe there as in traffic and overcrowding. Just for kids to go sledding down the hill on a snow day, is a massive impact to that area. I would hope that if the only difference is a longer drive, that you would all make it to the sanctioned location. Others cannot make it because of previously engaged activities and the new location would impede on that time limit. Again, my wish is to make this a positive event and a steppingstone for an open community dialogue. This is no way an anti-Trump rally, but an anti-oppression rally. Remember the ground may still be wet from today's rain so please dress accordingly. Personally as long as I am not walking in snow I constantly in flip-flops. I am absolutely open to any ideas that anyone ones so please do not hold back your opinions and email me. The pins I was hand making will be on sale for .50 a piece as I can only make 200. And I want to be fair to those who want them as I can't pass them out to everyone. I also have safety pins that are $.50 apiece, or three for $1. The only reason I am doing this is to raise the money to cover the food and drinks for the officers and to get some type of donation back to this community for all of its help. So many people don't want to give away money and I'm 100% fine with that so this way you at least get something back even if it is small and insignificant. Any questions concerns or comments please again do not hesitate to email me. I reply to everyone individually and as long as I am awake you will get a reply back in minutes. Also as to be inclusive and because I'm agnostic, one thing I refrain from is the use of prayer or godlike speeches. My reasoning for doing all of this is because I know what it feels like to be alone and have no one in your corner. Hopefully I've inspired even just one person to speak up and stand up for what's right ❤️
Laurel Acres isn't big enough. We're off to Sicklerville! Hardly a major effort to be part of history.
?❤️?
:)❤️:) *
Amber, I forwarded the information of this Women's March to Nicole Leonard of the AC Press, and your contact information. Nicole did an great article about the women traveling to D. C. and how the repeal of the ACA would affect women, so I thought she might be interested in covering the Sicklerville Women's March.
NLeonard@pressofac.com
Thank you very much Helen!!
Yes I suppose Republicans are people too. Unfortunately they have no heart.
Maybe the Tin Man could take them to ask the Wizard!
We will lend them a piece of our hearts! Even the Grinch's heart was able to grow. ❤️
Laurel Acres Park is a public park. You have the right to use the park. The Twp wouldn't want negative press by throwing peaceful women exercising their right to free speech out of it.
I understand; all public parks have regulations and this venue has safety rules, a large crowd demands policing costs, and this leaves the organizer in a liable position, this defeats the positive purpose of the rally. Respectfully, FRANCIS
Part of the reason for police presence is to keep the demonstrators safe. There are people out there that are ready and willing to pick a fight with peaceful demonstrators. We want all of us to be safe and be able to express ourselves peacefully and safely.
I understand that some of us may not be able to make it your the new site and choose to go to Mt. Laurel rather than stay home, but if your reason is mere preference or convenience, please make the effort to go to Sicklerville. Otherwise, you are putting your own self-interests above the organizer'so legitimate concerns. That attitude is part of what we must stand against, not oerpetrate.
We will always have to be alert to protect our rights.
Ladies, just a note. I can see that many of you are disappointed that the venue has changed. We ONLY moved the site because we had to. The Mount Laurel site cannot handle a large crowd and we are almost to 400. Feel free to go there as Amber has said, but please understand if too many of you do, then the township may have a problem with it. Part of the issue is when you have an organized event that exceeds a certain number, the Twp is obligated to provide police presence and that requires a permit plus extra money to pay for the extra police hours. This is how it was explained to me yesterday. The GT location can handle the large crowd, and has been officially approved for this event and the amount of people it has grown to. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you.
Annette
THIS ^ Please don't jeopardize the organizer with the old location! Much work has gone into securing this new venue!
Hi Beth, Amber and more,
I would prefer too to meet at the Mount Laurel site . I have few friends that are willing to go there .
Please, let me know .
Thanks a lot .
Blessings to all
I would prefer the Mt. Laurel site.
If you can't make Sicklerville, I still have the approval letter to meet in Laurel Acres park at the same time! Email me if you would like to still meet there yourselves!!
This sisterhood is helping me get through an unbearable day. Most of my friends are traveling to D.C. or Philly, but I am glad to be able to join a Sister March that is closer. Thank you for all your work Amber!
Thank you as well!
my daughter, husband and I were at the march on washington in 92 in support of abortion rights. my daughter is leaving for the womens march in washington tomw and i will join you. will we ever be able to stop marching?? feel so sad today
Thank you as well. I am unable to go to the marches and was thrilled to see this
It is a sad day for our nation. Somehow we will get through this Sheila! We will march, organize, protest, whatever it takes!
THANK YOU ALL! I can not wait to meet each and everyone of you! The location was moved to Sicklerville as the number of attendees out grown the original location. Feel free to still meet for a small walk at Laurel Acres, as some still plan to attend. I am no professional! So you do not need a leader to still take a stand. So far the true count is around 350. I will be grabbing donuts and coffee for the police officers on duty, and whatever else we raise shall be donated to the Park that allows us to practice and protect our rights! Just remember, in the 60's and 70's, the protesters and resistance were looked at as trouble makers and complainers! It is never a good thing to sit by and watch the Nation regress in the way it has the last 18 moths. If we had all came together sooner, maybe we could have avoided this mess instead. Again, no matter how small the action, it's still a big step!
With Love,
Amber and Eddie Clemments
We were trying to stop a war that was shattering an entire generation and still haunts us. We were beaten and jailed. I say this because these same forces have arisen today that must be peacefully resisted to prevent the next war. PEACE!
"What's Going On"
Mother, mother
There's too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you dying
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today - Ya
Father, father
We don't need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today
Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
Oh, what's going on
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Ah, what's going on
In the mean time
Right on, baby
Right on
Right on
Mother, mother, everybody thinks we're wrong
Oh, but who are they to judge us
Simply because our hair is long
Oh, you know we've got to find a way
To bring some understanding here today
Oh
Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me
So you can see
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's going on - Uh
Right on baby
Right on baby
Peace!
Thank You Helen!
Any suggestions as to what I could put on my sign? I was thinking "We Are Women, Hear Our Roar
In Numbers Too Big To Ignore"
Or "Women's Rights Are Human Rights"
My sign making abilities are pretty sad though!
I have been googling women's rally signs!
I'm making "we are all snowflakes, no two alike"
I have a good one for the guys.....I AM A FEMINIST...I stole it from PRESIDENT OBAMA!!
:)
I really like the first on Helen!
Thank you Annette. I think that's the one too!
If you go to any of your representatives' web pages you can find contact information such as phone numbers or email addresses
http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/legislativepub/contact.asp Here is a resource for finding legislators in NJ........left column has bills being considered and there is a form for contacting........Thank You, Cindy!
Hi Anthony; Big apology for missing your name on my reply; the funny part is that I was looking for another guy to post, and still missed it. I'm out of reasons except; I'll just play the senior citizen card! SORRY, FRANCIS
Is there a “theme” or “agenda” for this event? Is it primarily an anti-Trump rally?
Speaking for myself, this is a peaceful, positive Sister March that has become a global affirmation that women will be leading the way to a peaceful world! Love is all you need, and a sign!
Thank you for answering Francis! There is a theme of community. This is NOT and ANTI TRUMP RALLY but a Stand for the maraginalized
My signs are: 1)united we stand. 2) I'm not giving up and you shouldn't either.
3)women are people
Jews are people
Muslims are people
Republicans are people
Equal rights for all
4) stand up! Speak up!
5) a better world is possible.
Ladies,
This morning I called the Washington offices of Norcross Menendez and Booker and I left messages regarding the proposed cuts in Social Security and Medicare. If you share my concern on these issues I ask that you please consider doing the same.
Thank you!
On Wednesday, SouthJerseyForChange and a few other action groups joined together and we were at Republican Congressman MacArthur's office on Main Street standing up for the ACA. They mentioned there would be regular Wednesday events.
Sharon Cavanaugh
Yes let's stand together and make all Americans strong in caring for each other
Thank you Cindy. Do you happen to have any additional information, such as web article links and/or phone numbers?
Hi...I'm bummed that I won't be able to go to Sicklerville for Saturday's walk. Will absolutely be there in spirit.
Thank you! So sorry for the move :(
A few of us may just still walk around Laurel Acres park tomorrow around noon.
I think that is a lovely idea!
Amber, the Sicklerville Sun wants to talk to you about tomorrow. Text me your phone number.
I'll do my best to be there. Just can't stay long
Any time you have to spare wine will be grateful!
Hi dear Souls,
I do apologize for my prior one inquiring about location. Just realized that location has changed.
I will try my best to be there.
Blessings to all ??❤?
Oh not a problem! We just couldn't safely pack into the other location! Share share share :)
Hi dear !,
Are we still meeting at Laurel Acrees at 11.30 am?
Please, let me know
Thanks a lot
380 Hicksville Rd in Sicklerville. Outgrew the location. Hope you can still make it.
Thank you Francis! Received.
Are we still marching at Laurel Acres Park tomorrow at 11:30?
Do the Courier Post and Burlington County Times and NJN know about this event?
NJ.com and Patch.com as well as websites advertising the sister marches. Feel free to share with them!
Okay.
Final location at Sicklerville.
380 Hickstown Road
Please bring signs, positivity and play on words! Nothing vulgar as children will attend. Exact meeting is in emails.
If you want to contribute to the fund for the coffee/donuts for police and the remainder to donate to the park in response to helping us. Use google wallet and send to "Amberclem1994@gmail.com"
It's 100% and no fees. If you would like to do it in person that's also fine. $1 from each person would more than help! NOT OBLIGATED TO DONATE ANYTHING THOUGH!
I was afraid that changing the location would prevent some of you from be able to come but there was absolutely no other option. We know that you will be there in spirit. If anybody can't come because of transportation issues, maybe you can reach out on this forum and hopefully somebody will volunteer to carpool with you. Just a thought.
Great thought Annette!
Will there be an area to make signs? Or should they be made ahead of the event?
I would make them ahead of time, only to be safe!
Ditto Kara's comment. No longer able to attend at the new location, but good luck, will be with you in spirit!
Thank you Jennifer! We will miss you, just wanted to make sure we followed the law and we're safe!
Good Luck, Ladies! Sorry to miss it, due to scheduling my girls and I were going to be able to walk over to Laurel Acres but can't pull off Sicklerville. We will be thinking of you and take a few laps around the park in our purple.
Thank you very much! Tell you girls we are all very proud of them, you are a great role model for them!
Thanks Amber! We will mini-march with my minis.
Hi Annette, I'll bring some markers, TP and enough wipes to share...looking forward to Saturday...
Thank you so much Denise! Very thoughtful
I will bring along a large foam core white board that we can get everyone to sign with markers. I have some markers, if anyone else can bring some along in case we need them that would be great. Also, Bill Fagan said that the bathrooms will be open for us. I would suggest that everyone bring some TP and hand wipes along for your personal use because we're almost at 300 rsvp's already, and I'm sure that whatever is in the bathroom will not be enough. We may hit 400 by Saturday! :)
The sign I have up in the photo is ready for signatures! I colored and glittered it up! But the more the merrier. I also have index cards for everyone to fill out for why they are participating!! I'm going to do an email for the info about the giving back for police/community
We might want to think about doing something that'll be helpful for the police dept's canine members. I think they always can use help in that area...especially for the retired canine workers.
I live about 15 minutes away more toward Philly. Gloucester Twp parks are the only ones that I know of so that's why I called. To be truthful, I didn't think that they would let us have it because they really do need weeks to review and approve something this large. However the head of Parks and Recreation - Bill Fagan - was so generous and went out of his way, along with the GT police Dept. to help us out, that it would really be a nice gesture to send them all a big thank you. Doe's anybody have any ideas?
Annette
http://www.gtpolice.com/ click 'contact', social media on right column. I'm sure they'll appreciate compliments. Parks has a donation setup for tree donation, that would require a discussion and a collection!
I think it's pretty darn funny to be marching right down the road from a Trump golf course... perfect new location! Thanks for the updates... and for getting this together.
Isn't it ironic. I live around the block from it too. It's pretty daggone funny for sure.
I'm not returning any wayward golf balls!!
Awesome job ladies! This old woman will be there!
I will post a photo with parking and where we will gather just like before! This change is because we out grew the park with the overwhelming amount of support. I know the drive will be a further for some, so if you can not attend nothing will be held against you!
EVERYONE! We lucked out with a PERMIT. We have found the perfect park, WITH POLICE PRESENCE.
It will be in Sicklerville INSTEAD OF Mount Laurel. Thank you all for your suggestions. We have to thank Annette Moss for this, she was proactive and got this done.
Now with a permit, plenty of parking, and safety we can all relax and use our vice in the correct way! Thank you all for everything.
Thank You Amber and Annette! That's perfect!
There is always the possibility of confrontation at any public rally. Never engage with disruptive elements, ignore them like road rage, and report any incidents to an official, and obey any order from a public official even if it's wrong. PEACE!
I will be driving and would like to know where I should park. Also, thank you Amber for dong so much work organizing!
Hi Helen; Click on 'event information' at the top of comments. The map shows the park and the entrance road, switch to satellite map and you will see the 2 parking lots; if these are full continue on that road to the baseball field with a large parking lot,
Dear Friends; The most important message we leave is a peaceful, positive and very clean venue; bring it, take it! Volunteers for after the rally to be certain of the impression we want to leave, and ease the overwhelming responsibility taken by the organizer. A public venue is always preferable, at a mall it is most likely to get complaints from store owners about impeding business, and customers about taking parking away; even if it isn't true, one fake complaint by 'people' opposed to us can ruin our best efforts. LETS GO! FRANCIS
The Burlington mall sounds like a great Alternative, Chuck E. Cheese is no longer open and adds more parking. This movement is awesome .
What about a school property if the Township thinks too many for the park? A school represents the future. Also, while this would be a significant relocation, the Burlington Center mall is a large space that is easy to get to, has plenty of parking and, thanks to Macy's and Penney's departures, has lots of open spaces.
I'm hoping to find a parking space or hopefully no a long walk to the event. Either/or I'll be there rallying my support.
So far the count is around 205 people. I spoke to the township and they are trying to get it approved seeing as it's becoming much bigger than I would have needed to not obtain the approval or permit. If any of you know where we could have a back up please, in case the township doesn't want to allow us to assemble there please email me or text me I'm fighting really hard on this and to keep it where it is.
Let them know that many marchers will be walking to the park and not using the lots at all. I know of 15 off of the top of my head that will not be parking there.
Created a page to hopefully gain footwork to continue to improve upon our society EVEN AFTER this weekend!!

Hello everyone! Sorry had not slept at all last night so I took a nap today! Woke up to an overwhelming amount of support and attendance. A lot of you are asking about a certain color. Many sister groups are wearing PURPLE, which was the color associating with the Suffragette Movement. That is 100% okay! Also I encoumany of you to make your own sign. One per family is perfect! Nothing vulgar as children will be in attendance. One of positivity and creativity. I have two people wanting photos or small clips to document this from New York and California.
Also this is growing much bigger than I ever anticipated. So thank you all, this is what unity looks like in our nation. The event place I have picked was for a peaceful lawful gathering with maximum exposure and minimal safety risks. As the crowd is growing bigger, if I need to find a more secure place, you will be the first to know! Thank you for reading the long message! Honestly, very happy to have all your support!
Amber, thanks for organizing; look forward to meeting you and many others Saturday! Lolita
Thank you sister Clemments for making sure women of SJ have a local location to stand in solidarity with women around the country.
Thank you very much Chlelsea! Very kind words
Thank you all for your interest and continuing to share. As this is put together, I would advise you to eat a big breakfast and there is food within minutes from the park! Dress accordingly to the weather, I want you to be as comfortable as possible. Some groups are wearing purple to tribute the suffragettes. As everyone is arriving, I will have some pins and bracelets for you to wear. I also will have a syllabus to bullet point some of the talking points to go over. Not everyone is up to date on the actions of the house and senate. And again, knowledge is key. We want to show them, we will NOT tolerate their lies and betrayal to the America people. I also would like to have people share the reason they are "marching/rallying" and take plenty of pictures! So far the RSVP is 72, and I want to make sure that is including everyone! Please be sure to email or text me your response. Again the website only is showing the actual reply of 15 people.
Thank you all again, whether this is chalked up as a win or a bust... I want you to know that the overwhelming support and appreciation has me finally optimistic about the future!
With love,
Amber Clemments
This is growing so much quicker than I ever thought! Please remember to bare with me, as this is completely last minute and I'm no professional. This rally will be on of hope and unification. PLEASE be sure to text/email me your rsvps as the website only has a fraction of the number of attendees when I download. I am making a lot of different items and would like to have the correct number of each. Remember this is all inclusive! If you want to bring anything or anyone do not hesitate!
856-209-8873
Had gotten an email, and wanted to share with you all!
I hope to join you Saturday but just in case I can't I wanted to tell you how much I support and admire you and all of the other women who will be marching.
Much Love,
Noelle
Will there be actual marching? And sign holding? Or is it just more of an empowering and supportive get together?
More of sign holding and rallying together. I want this to almost be like a supportive party ? we are all trying to better us as a society!
Also, sorry for the constant updates. I also encourage everyone to bring something to eat! Almost pot luck type. As we now are up to around 35-40 people. Can be anything !
Also, I encourage everyone to speak at the rally. You do not have to, but everyone has an open forum there.
Annette Moss and Christian Moss are coming.
Thank you!
Can those that are definitely coming please text me with name and number of guest.
The site is only showing me five people.
856-209-8873
Joanne Hanger is coming!
Thank you
Anyone that has any questions!
