Voices of Green New Deal Virginia:

Virtual Screening & Panel Discussion

Please join us on September 15 at 7:00pm EST as Green New Deal Virginia hosts a virtual event showcasing the stories of leaders within our movement and their vision for an environmentally just economy that works for everyone in the commonwealth.

We will be screening our first short film production Voices of the Green New Deal Virginia. This film highlights the stories of our working group leaders as they share their personal sources of motivation and where they find hope in the solutions to climate justice issues we face here in Virginia. Taking a dive into the goals of our six working groups; Defossilization Energy Efficiency and Renewables (DEER), Sustainable Jobs, Social Justice & Health Disparities, Food & Agriculture, Sustainable Cities & Transportation, Financing the Green New Deal VA, Democratic Governance, and Outreach & Education, the leaders share why they choose to be a part of a movement that tackles the climate crisis from all angles, and how you can join in our efforts as we move into the 2021 legislative session.

After the screening a panel of leaders, including (names) will facilitate a discussion and answer questions from the audience. Please register here to join us!
