July 27, 2023, will be the 70th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that halted but did not end the Korean War: an opportunity to call attention to the devastating human costs of this unresolved war and the need for Washington to end it with a formal peace agreement. Most Americans have no idea how dangerous the situation is on the Korean Peninsula, which now represents the "most urgent nuclear threat" in the world, according to many experts.

Beginning on July 22 at 5 PM Pacific / 8 PM Eastern, World Channel will broadcast the documentary film Crossings by Emmy-award winning filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem. The film follows 30 international feminist peacemakers as they set off on a risky journey across the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, calling for an end to a 70-year war that has divided the Korean peninsula. The film exposes the devastating consequences of this unresolved war on the lives of Koreans, Americans, and people around the world.
