Access For All KY
This November, Kentuckians will vote on Constitutional Amendment 2. If the amendment passes, it will amend Kentucky's constitution to explicitly exclude the right to abortion in the state.
Kentucky's state Supreme Court has historically interpreted abortion as a constitutionally protected issue of privacy. However, a 'trigger law' banning abortions in Kentucky after the federal Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade remains in effect while the Kentucky Supreme Court considers a challenge and watches the results of this Amendment 2 referendum in November.
A lack of abortion access in Kentucky will overwhelmingly affect the health of working class women and their families. While the owning class always has and always will have access to safe abortion—legal or otherwise, working people will have their access further limited, even practically eliminated, if Amendment 2 passes. We can't let this happen. We need Kentuckians to vote No on Amendment 2 because we need reproductive Access for All.
This campaign is aimed at reaching voters directly. We will canvass door-to-door, table at events, phone and text bank voters, and more. Let us know how you want to get involved!
