Interested in getting involved with Birmingham DSA's Afrosocialists and Socialists of Color Member Section (AFROSOC)? Fill out this form!

Members of Birmingham DSA want to know if you're interested in getting involved with our Afrosocialists and Socialists of Color Member Section (AFROSOC)!
Here in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, as well as nationally, AFROSOC advocates for and builds power with DSA’s Black/POC membership and their communities. We pursue this work to help build a multiracial working-class base, the only viable strategy for securing a socialist future.
We're considering many possibilities for AFROSOC here at Birmingham DSA, including...
- Organizing spaces for socialists who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color (BIPOC) to grow, find support, build power, and take action.
- Informing how Birmingham DSA organizes around ending capitalism and racism (racial capitalism) as well as all forms of material oppression based on social construction and biological existence,
- And anything you'd like to bring to the organizing table!
Involvement in Birmingham DSA AFROSOC is open only to people in the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa metropolitan areas who self-identify as BIPOC. DSA membership is not required to be involved in Birmingham DSA AFROSOC.
If you're interested in getting involved, please fill out this form!
