LETTER OF SUPPORT

As representatives of food cooperatives, Palestine solidarity organizations, Jewish anti-Zionist organizations, political organizations, elected officials, and other organizations standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people, we support Park Slope Food Coop Members for Palestine's campaign to pass a boycott of Israeli products at the Park Slope Food Coop until Israel complies with international law, including by ceasing unlawful discriminatory practices, in its treatment of Palestinians.

More than 3,500 members of the Park Slope Food Coop have signed a petition calling for a boycott of Israeli products at the Coop. The Coop membership has advocated for this boycott numerous times in its 50+ year history. In keeping with the Coop's mission statement of avoiding “products that depend on the exploitation of others," we believe the Coop should extend its tradition of joining international boycott campaigns (as it did with Apartheid South Africa, Pinochet's Chile, United Farm Workers, Coca-Cola and others) and implement a boycott of Israeli products until the end of the genocide, apartheid rule, and military occupation.

The Coop is a unique institution with an equally unique history as one of the largest and oldest food coops in the country. Boycotting Israeli products will not go unnoticed and will set a positive example for other food organizations in and beyond New York City. By voting for a boycott of Israeli products, Coop members will use their democratic rights as member-owners to vote NO on apartheid and genocide funded with our tax dollars and our purchases at the Coop.

For questions about PSFC Members for Palestine's campaign to boycott Israeli products at the Park Slope Food Coop, please email psfc4p.contact@proton.me.

We urge all Park Slope Food Coop members to vote YES on the proposed boycott of Israeli products at the upcoming Coop General Meeting on May 26th, 2026 at 7pm on Zoom and in-person.
