RSVP to canvass in support of BAmazon Union on March 20-21!
Here's when we'll be canvassing this weekend:
- Saturday, March 20, 10AM - 1PM, Birmingham (meet at RWDSU's hall at 1901 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205)
- Saturday, March 20, 2PM - 5PM, Birmingham (meet at RWDSU's hall at 1901 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205)
- Sunday, March 21, 2PM - 5PM, Birmingham (meet at RWDSU's hall at 1901 10th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205)
We will focus on areas where a critical mass of the workers live and where we haven't canvassed before. This will include Hoover, Homewood, Adamsville, and un-canvassed neighborhoods of Birmingham.
5800 workers at the Amazon BHM1 warehouse are voting to form a union to improve their working conditions, like getting more time for bathroom breaks and creating restrictions on the most backbreaking work. The workers are also voting for a union to fight for better wages and a stronger voice in the workplace
Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos has made $79 billion during the pandemic alone. Union jobs mean a better life for our neighbors and a stronger community for us all. That's why we're coming together to show that we have the backs of the workers at the Bessemer warehouse who are fighting to unionize.
We'll be going door-to-door getting petition signatures, keeping supporters in the loop about upcoming events, distributing signs, and taking pictures and videos of #BAmazonUnion backers in the community.
Please fill out this form to RSVP to canvass for one or both of these days.
Thank you, and solidarity!
