Sign the pledge to join the campaign and support Anti-Apartheid Businesses!

We will not share any personal information and will not contact you regarding anything other than your No Appetite for Apartheid commitment unless you indicate otherwise.

We, the residents of Birmingham, are opposed to the systems of apartheid, occupation, genocide, and ethnic cleansing that have oppressed the people of Palestine for the past 75 years. As American consumers and taxpayers, we are complicit in these atrocities.

In 2005, Palestinian civil society issued a call for a global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement to bring pressure on Israeli companies through targeted consumer boycotts. We agree to assert our values by participating in BDS consumer boycotts, and by supporting any business that pledges to join the Birmingham Against Apartheid campaign.

Who are we?

The No Appetite for Apartheid campaign is being led locally by Young Palestinians of Birmingham and Birmingham DSA's Palestine Working Group.

Young Palestinians of Birmingham is an organization centered around activism for the Palestinian struggle for self-determination. Our goal is to educate, mobilize, and organize the community in Birmingham, Alabama to combine our efforts for the cause. YPB believes in building a lasting movement led by Palestinian and Arab youth, supported by principled allies dedicated to making an impact through unity of cause and coordination of action.

Birmingham DSA is an autonomous and democratically organized chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. The 240+ members of Birmingham DSA are building democracy powered by us, the working class, not the capitalist class. We are 100% made up of volunteers from the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa area.
