Sign to Support Restoring the Eligibility to Vote to 1.4 Million Americans in Florida
Florida’s system for restoring a person’s eligibility to vote is broken. If a person is convicted of a felony, they are barred for life from voting. This excludes more than 1.4 million Floridians. These are our family, friends and neighbors.
Florida is 1 of only 4 states in the country whose constitution permanently disenfranchises citizens with past felony convictions (the other states are Kentucky, Iowa and Virginia).
Florida’s constitution grants politicians the sole authority to restore a person’s eligibility to vote on a case-by-case basis. Amendment 4 will fix Florida’s broken system!
In honor of Second Chances month, we are asking you to sign the pledge to support the Voting Restoration Amendment - Amendment 4. This amendment gives Florida voters the choice to return the eligibility to vote to those who have served their time and paid their debts.
Americans believe in Second Chances. The declaration of Second Chances Month shows people from all walks of life who’ve made past mistakes, served time and completed their sentences that America cares about redemption and forgiveness.
Sign the pledge to show your support for Second Chances and Amendment 4.
