Tell Starbucks' CEO: I've signed the "No Contract, No Coffee" pledge to support Starbucks workers!

Members of Starbucks Workers United, the union that has won elections at more than 600 stores nationwide, just announced that if Starbucks doesn't offer a fair contract, they'll go on an open-ended strike, during the busiest season of the year, to protest union-busting and get the pay and hours they deserve.

Workers didn't come to this decision lightly. They take pride in their jobs. But Starbucks has been stalling, breaking the law, and breaking promises from the moment this union started. It's time to show that the union is serious!

Stand in solidarity with Starbucks workers by signing the "No Contract, No Coffee" pledge before the strike starts! The pledge to Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol states:

I call on you to bargain a fair contract with Starbucks Workers United baristas! I support Starbucks baristas in their fight for a union and a fair contract, and pledge not to cross the picket line. That means I will not patronize any Starbucks store when baristas are on strike.

Niccol earned $96 million last year and commutes from southern California to Seattle in a private jet. But when Starbucks workers made demands at the negotiating table that were simple and affordable, Starbucks representatives walked away. Here's what's at stake:

  • Better hours, so stores aren't constantly short-staffed
  • Higher take-home pay, so workers can cover rent and groceries
  • Real accountability for Starbucks' union-busting and unfair labor practices

The difference between the contract that Starbucks workers deserve and the contract that corporate leadership has offered is less than one average day's sales. These changes would make Starbucks better for workers and better for customers. No one wants to go on strike, but corporate CEOs like Niccol give the union no choice.
