Support the Australian Unemployed Workers' Union

The Australian Unemployed Workers' Union (AUWU) is run by the unemployed, for the unemployed.

We work for the rights of all Australians to dignified welfare and employment.

Workers who are unemployed or in insecure work struggle against three major attacks:

  1. Lack of jobs -- Dozens of people competing for every job vacancy
  2. Low rate of welfare payments -- $500 per fortnight below the Henderson poverty line
  3. Punitive system of fines and activities from Centrelink and job agencies.

A decent social safety net is in the interest of ALL workers.

The Australian Unemployed Workers' Union (AUWU) welcomes all workers, whether unemployed or in part-time or full-time employment, whether you are retired, disabled, or studying.
