Since CCAG's inception in 1970 on the First Earth Day as Earth Action, CCAG has been committed to building a more just and sustainable Connecticut.
During this legislative session, CCAG has worked around the clock to make many bills tenable that, if passed or killed by June 4th, could drastically improve CT's climate and environment policies. Click here to learn more about our 2025 Climate, Energy, and Environment Legislative Highlights.
Our ability to dedicate so much time and effort to these pressing issues is made possible by the generous support of our activist community. Please consider making a one-time or recurring monthly donation today and fuel our fight for climate and environmental justice!
Thank you.
We take pride in our integrity, letting our values guide each action we take. CCAG is based on the belief:
- that democracy is not a spectator sport and that an accountable government plays a vital role in any just society;
- that it is imperative people be willing and able to challenge powerful interests;
- that all people deserve equal opportunity, and to achieve this, we must overcome legacies of discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, and ability;
- that as a society, we must work to end poverty and exploitation, guarantee health security for all, and equal access to a quality public education
- that we have a responsibility to leave future generations with a more sustainable and just place to live.
| Mission: CCAG is a statewide membership-based organization dedicated to actively engaging the residents of CT in altering the relations of power to build a more just society. Throughout its history, CCAG has utilized various strategies to this end, including community organizing, mass canvasses, legislative advocacy, direct action, political endorsements, training, research, and coalition building. Our experience can not be matched in Connecticut or, arguably, in any other state. The staff and leaders who have participated in CCAG's efforts continue to play significant roles in the fight to build a more just and sustainable society. Due to our heavy-hitting tactics, donations to CCAG are not tax deductible. If you prefer to make a tax-deductible donation, you can contribute online to our sister organization, Connecticut Citizen Research Group, or call Natasha Kuranko at (203) 803-8527 |
