The Berkshires chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) believes that working people should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. Our more than 80 members hail from across western MA and represent a wide range of leftist ideologies and tendencies--we are truly a “big tent”! Together, we use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms toward a fair, free, and just Berkshire County.

Joining us means making a commitment to cooperation and solidarity. Members determine chapter priorities at the local, state, and federal level. Our current priorities include: the labor movement and passing the PRO Act; mutual aid; ecosocialism; progressive electoral candidates; Medicare for All; and political education.
