Carleton 4 Palestine
We are a coalition of students, faculty, and organizations united to advocate for full transparency of Carleton University’s investments, the complete divestment from corporations complicit in the genocide against the Palestinians, and an academic boycott of the institutions which are supporting it.
The Carleton4Palestine coalition is demanding the following from the university administration:
Full Disclosure of Investments: Transparency regarding all of the university's financial investments, particularly those involving corporations implicated in violations of Palestinian human rights. This encompasses both endowed and non-endowed funds.
Immediate Divestment: The complete divestment from corporations and entities which are complicit in human rights violations, particularly those profiting from the exploitation, surveillance, and murder of the Palestinian people.
Academic Separation: An academic separation from institutions and entities that support, participate in, or benefit from the Israeli occupation, oppression, discrimination, and genocide of Palestinians.
Carleton4Palestine remains determined in its commitment to justice, accountability, and solidarity with the Palestinian people as they are experiencing the ongoing genocide. As representatives of the majority of the university’s population (40+ student, faculty, and labour groups), the coalition urges the administration to take immediate and meaningful action to address these pressing concerns and uphold the values of justice, accountability, and solidarity which resonate deeply with the broader community. It is imperative that the student population’s money does not aid or abet the ongoing onslaught by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinian people.
