Proposal for how to work when separation needs occur:
Many countries have both a Fridays for future movement and a School Strike 4 Climate movement. In the case of School Strike 4 Climate the people are clearly in ‘school’, normally under 18. School strike 4 climate, who are normally supported by their ‘own’ parents and often have a Fridays For Future local group to together work with and within.
If there is a need for a work group to be ‘separated’ by sex, sexual identity, race, age or another reason this is allowed and it is preferred that this shows in the name of the work group. This is intended to reduce confusion for outsiders.
Work groups are best sized at 6 people and work poorly beyond 12 people. Therefore if a sub group feels a need for ‘separation’ then this need not be seen as discrimination. As this is filling a potential ‘need’. For example, some people may need to have smaller groups to work with strengthen their own voice. This is only discrimination if they are ‘stopping’ another work or local group from forming or working.
One example of separation need can be in age ‘youth’, often aged from 19-29 years. There are many names e.g. FFF youth town or country or Youth Strike for Climate town or country. Also, by starting from 19 years means that school children are not directly exposed to issues which can be difficult to cope without the support of their own parents and other adults.

History, including Ken Swedenborg's work:
Ken worked for many years with the building of FFF Ludvika, and perhaps here is shall be renamed to F4F Ludvika.
We are sad to announce Ken's passing, a great activist, who worked for decades first with human rights, his work started very early with ☀️ Solvognen and then many decades with Folkkampanjen för sjukvården
And then the last decade with finding, preparing & standing by Greta, first with a lot of good advice prior to the school strike 4 climate and then heavily involved in everybody fff Ludvika group and the everybody fff worldwide team.
Movements are not easy and not always aligned but our goal is to find collaborative methods lifting everyone’s voice, while not detracting from those we are less aligned with. Collaboration means sharing our power as much as possible and remaining silent when imagination or capacity are short.
Amen words, ‘I'm deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Ken Swedenborg's passing. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones. I had the privilege of exchanging conversations with him about climate and democracy, and he inspired me to learn about the importance of real democracy in addressing the climate crisis. He will always be remembered
Rose McHale, pastor, ’🙏Memento, homo, quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris.
Here's to you, friend and #FFF colleague, Ken Swedenborg. ✨️
You will be missed but not forgotten. Your courage and enthusiasm are like ripples in the waters and shall serve as a reminder for those who follow, to always lead with integrity and fierce determination.’

Alfred Robert Hogan – kindly read at Ken Swedenbourg's funeral please. If words are wanted from me: Ken Swedenborg, in particular, greatly admired Sweden's Greta Thunberg and her courage, ideals, and energy, as do I. We will miss his distinct voice at our FFF climate action now weekly meetings.
