This group is managed by the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis (NYSABA). NYSABA’s mission is to promote and protect the integrity of the science and professional practice of behavior analysis within the State of New York. Behavior analysis is the scientific study of behavior, used to improve socially valuable behaviors in humans. New York is the only state that restricts the practice of behavior analysis to individuals who have autism, in most settings. New York has the least amount of Behavior Analysts in the Northeast- creating a crisis for the field. This group is made up of Behavior Analysts, consumers, parents, advocates, teachers, concerned citizens and other service providers who support the removal of scope restriction for Behavior Analysts in NY.
